Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)

Just swept the Bulls with me breaking the playoff scoring record (I got 67 with 8 rebounds and 12 assists). On to the Eastern Conference Finals, where I'll be going up against the 8th seeded Magic (interesting note, both eight seeds [Magic and San Antonio] won their first round series, and won their second round ones. On an interesting note, it could end up Miami vs Dallas in the Finals, just like in real life :o. Also, My Player is up to 67 overall and I haven't touched Off. and Def. Awareness once, and I've barely touched Off./Def. Clutch and Consistency.

Pos 1-3 I always up Medium shot first. It's a heck of a lot easier to drop a quick 2 out from 15-22ft out than it is to drive to the basket when you're first starting out. Then shoot off dribble. From there I don't think it really matters all that much to be honest. Once you can nail a mid-range jumper in your sleep, it's pretty much all honey from there. With my current SG I did Layup next, then shoot in traffic. Currently working on the two awareness stats.

What I did was up my mid-range and 3pt first because I played a lot of SG off the bench, then I maxed shoot off dribble and now I drain step back threes in my sleep, its my money shot.

I'm on the Portland Trailblazers and I'm the 6th man PG.

Our roster starting 5 is crazy.. It makes things a whole lot easier because when I get subbed in we already have a lead

          Here's the starting 5:
          PG-Andre Miller
          SG-B-Roy
          SF-Luol Deng
          PF-Lamarcus Aldridge
          C- Greg Oden
          Seattle Supersonics Oklahoma City Thunder
          Don't steal history.

            That's probably from unrealistic trades.

What I like about MP is that your teams makes smart trades. Most of the trades are good fit. We(Nets) are continueing to make trades for defense and 3 point shooters.
When I first got there in my 1st season, the only 3 shooters were T.Murphy and Outlaw. Now it is Me, Murphy, Garcia, and Morrow. We are still the worst 3pt team, but since I improved my 3 to 80(at 84 now) we are great. But we are the best FG% team. And our Defense in the first year was horrible, this year the best. Favors played very soft. Now he plays tougher. Lopez is a great defender(had 7 blocks in the last game against Magic). S. Marion was a great add. We force turnovers and block shots. Our main flaw is against 3 point teams or great wingmen shooters because we dont recover and play tight on motions.
I am mad that my Ps3 isnt working, so I have to wait to play(even though I didnt play it much often before. But I am anixous to see how Turiaf fits with our team. I am hoping that we trade Devin Harris(old rosters) and D. James. We play better without them. It is January and I am 95 Ovr&Floor General and I still havent gotten a trade suggestion yet. I dont want a star I just want a true SG who is a athletic defender who is a catch and shoot guy and a SF who can shoot 3s and a great defender.'
We have guys who fit what I want. But, They dont have much playing time. A.Morrow, T.Murphy are players who I like but dont get minutes and miss 3s that they should make blindfolded.

Gerald Wallace for Deng doesn't seem unrealistic...

Made a SF, and got drafted in the 1st round to the Magic.

So far we're 6-6, definitely struggling a little bit. My player has been doing well though - I average 13 points and 5 rebounds a game, which is a good start imo.

I've experimented quite a bit with the difficulties - right now I play on pro/default, 10 min quarters, but I feel its a bit too random. Some games my team will be great and the final score will be like 94-80 us (realistic), but my last game against the Grizzlies the final score was 74-64 them, and my team basically missed every shot it seemed (and only scored 6 points in one quarter!).

I've also played on all-star/default and had this happen as well. One game I'll have a great 93-90 final, other games the scores will be 71-58.

Whats the best combo to play with? Should I try the simulation sliders? I here that makes your teammates score more, but that its way harder for you to score. I'd rather have it not be hard for me to score, but I just sort of want my teammates on the Magic to actually play like the Magic, and not miss wide open shots all the time.

also, is loyalty a good answer choice for most things? Usually I answer with professionalism, but I'll probably switch to loyalty midway through the season. I'm just looking to get the ball as often as possible.

Swept the 8 seed Bucks in the first round and am currently up 2-0 on the 5 seed Nets in the 2nd round.

Eastern Conference Finals, we beat the Hawks and sixers in 5 both went win three, lose 1, win one. Now we're up 2-0 to the Heat, on the Celtics, up 24-18 3 minutes left in first quarter. My player and association careers or on my website.

If I have the most votes for centers in the all-star game does that mean I will start the game and play a lot of minutes
