i'm just starting a My Player as a 3pt specialist PG. This mode is kinda hard. I was just matched up against John Wall and went off for 22 points and 7 assists and shot 47% and still ended up with a C rating while Wall shot 5/25. I don't really get how my rating was so low.

How many turnovers did you have? bad passes? offensive rebounds given up? bad spacing? etc.. You can check your grade and what the breakdowns are for each game in your myplayer menus..

2nd game I had 15 points(still shooting bad from the field hoping to fix this with skill points before year stars), had 9 broads and 20 assists and an A+ team grade. It was a 1600 point performance even though I lost. Putting those toward my close shot. Wall did good vs me though. Im projected to go at 15 to the T wolves.

@brza37 It took 3 seasons of 5 min quarter games(got me to 80 ovr) then 5 seasons of nothing but simulating games.

What does Shoot in Traffic actually mean?

2k needs to remember what we all learned in 2nd grade, you can not defined a word by using the word in its definition. Other than the blatantly obvious ones its annoying to have to guess what some of these mean and what they effect. Some of them they defined well and others that just assume we know what they are talking about.

Anyway, How does Shoot in traffic differ from Lay Up? Lay up say it the ability to score standard lay ups, contact lay ups, and alley layups.

Traffic is what? Shooting over 2 or more players? Dunking over people? The circus shots when fouled on a layup? Which I assumed was considered a contact layup.

Anyone?

It doesn't seem like there is a good balance on any difficulty...blowing out the Blazers on pro default with an A+ grade, 17 points, 3 reb, 2 assists...22 point lead in the 3rd(6 mins left in 3rd with 11 minute quarters)...on pro sim I am sure I'd be getting blown out, as would I be getting blown out on all star default. What are people getting good results on? I guess I would try again if you were using one of the ones I mentioned.

edit: Ended up going 28 points, 5 assists, 5 rebounds, 1 steal in a 95-76 blowout.

Im having the same issue. I thought the best setting for me was superstar/sim but my teammates couldn't shoot over 35%. I've been playing with the settings for a while now but lowering the difficulty just seems to make the other team worse instead of making your teammates better so my scores end up being 73-77 on 12 minute quarters..not cool.....

I think I had 5 turnovers, no offensive rebounds given up. Idk, the negatives outweight the positives in the grading process big time.

(Playing on Superstar/Sim - 6'6 All-Around SG)

Wow, this mode's a lot more fun once you make it to the NBA. So, I just finished my first 3 games with the Pacers who drafted me at the 10th pick.

Lost the first game to the Spurs, I got subbed out when we were losing by 5, and we ended up losing by 12. Lost the second game.. I wasn't playing in the final minutes, and we lost by 1 to the Bobcats.

Third game we completely blowout the 76ers.

We're 1-2 right now, and I'm averaging 12.3 points, 7 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 0.7 steals, 1.3 blocks, and 1 turnover as the team's 7th man.

I think that's what gives the mode more of a challenge. I love it.

6'3 all-around PG

-averaged an A+ during the combine games(avg ppg. 2; reb. 6; ast. 24) with 8 min. quarters on pro/default
-drafted in the 1st round, 17th pick to the Bulls
-averaged an A+ during the summer circuit(avg ppg. 2; reb. 7; ast. 13) with 5 min. quarters on pro/default

***purposely tanked the last game of the combine to get drafted to the Bulls....didnt want to go 10th overall to the pacers

i do hate the shortage of time playing at the PG position because derrick rose is there since most of my assists come off of playcalling with the pick and roll
