Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)

Well finally started this over the weekend with a PG.

Got drafted #24 by the Blazers and ended up making the team after the summer league. About to start the season tonight. Should be interesting.

My my player just got a starting spot after 16 games. It was a key game against the Magic. I play for the Heat, the team I was drafted to. This game I had my season high in points with 22 points and 4 assists. I made a replay of my last field goal of that game. I shook Jason Williams out his shoes lol.:

After this game I got my billboard too.

I finished season 1 last night, and looked at the 2011-12 minutes for OKC and Westbrook is now only playing 10 minutes per game and is about 8th on the list.

My Player really needs an option where I can override the starting 5. If 2K are worried people would force themselves into the starting line-up this way, they could make it that to use this feature disables earning XP for the next 5/10 games (played, not simmed) or something like that.

I suffered through an entire year with Jeff Green at centre. Now Green's finally back at PF and AI Scott Brooks decides to ruin Russell Westbrook.
Along those lines, I think the ability to start suggesting minutes changes for players to your coach after you've become a star player for the team would be nice. I'd love to have Hasheem Thabeet in there for 15 minutes or so, as he is an absolute beast on the defensive end, often able to effectively guard the opposing team's best big man. I looked at the My Minutes section of My Career after my last game and found out that I had gone up a minute to 37, while he was subtracted to 9 minutes. Didn't make me very happy, and I'd love to suggest to coach that Hamed Haddadi shouldn't be getting more minutes than Thabeet.

Well I'm a 58 athletic PG with the Cavs and we are 12-9 and sitting in 7th place in the east. I just had a monster game against the Heat. Put up 40 points, 15 assists and 11 boards for like my 5th triple double. We blew rthem out by like 20 points in the end. I have noticed that a lot that we have been blowing teams out. We just played the Thunder and blew them out by like 15 or more.

I'm gonna try and play a few games on Pro / Sim and see how that goes and if we are still blowing teams out will bump it up to all star.

It's so weird. I create a scoring guard, bump up his shooting stats into high 70s while continually uping handles and the like...yet I can't seem to make a single shot.

But I make an athletic guard, and I shoot lights out and my highest shot is in the mid 60s.

Da well. I have fun with a fast 6'7" SG anyways.

I created a SG, and I have been horrible since the get go. I placed 29 in the draft, got drafted by the Mavs...played summer league, sucked, got dropped and was put on the Detroit D-League team.

I am just wondering, will I ever get out of the d-league? should I just keep focusing on getting better and crawling my way out? or should I start a new one?

If you like your player just crawl out, It will make the mode that much more fun... When you get in the league you get starter minutes from the get go, So It doesn't matter unless you spend more than 20 games in the D League

Thanks! I think I will try and crawl out. It adds to the realism
                    Thanks for the advice.

Yea, Thats why I like last year mode a little better, you had a better chance of actually climbing, when your rating somewhat says your one of the worst players in the league

Is it a lot harder to climb out in this year's mode?

I've never got past game 30, I got too many different My Players, I like to play how I feel that day

Playing a PG, currently rated 49 overall and getting 12 MPG. Was drafted by the T-Wolves, did pretty good during the summer and will be getting 12 MPG when I start the season. Hoping to outplay Jonny Flynn and take over the starting job pretty quickly. Team should be pretty good with Johnson, Beasley, and Love.
