Re: NBA 2K11 Q&A (Those That Have it Early, Confirmed)
Hey baseballguy, I would like to ask some questions mainly concering create a player and association.
Is the Create a Player Mode the same as last year, did it receive any upgrades?
In Association are rookies generated from Create A player or do they use premade models like 2k9 and 2k8? Also are the portraits of the rookies like the portraits in my player????
Thanks a lot!Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 Q&A (Those That Have it Early, Confirmed)
Its odd that the generic players on classic teams can't be edited. Mike Wang mention that we can edit them and someone else also. If that's the case I want to see a patch for this, and a patch to fix the PS3 framereate possible issue. On other forums from people that played the PS3 version they said it looks good, so IDK.
The create-a-player placement would be just as good as editing the generic players on the team already, as the generics have nothing in common with the guys they're supposed to be. There is no generic aged red head caucasion center on the '86 Celts with suspiciously similar attributes to Bill Walton. Therefore, whether we were to edit the generic guys or just create players and send them to the teams to replace the generics, it should be the same thing.Comment

Sure, you may not have a 360 to compare things to, so "its ok". But that'd be like saying, you're happy working in a 3rd world sweat shop underpaid because you have never seen America and probably never will go there.
The fact to the matter is, there ARE 2 versions. PS3, and 360. Both from the same company. 1 customer base gets a superior product, the other a gimped port.
We are charged the same amount for the game.
That makes PS3's customer base 2nd class citizens. I'm sure the black slaves who "knew their place" and accepted their fates felt more at peace than those who attempt to fight for their own rights, but it doesn't mean the situation is right.
Your so called NOT CARING, is basically a submissive reaction to "the way things are". You know this is how it is, this is how it has been, and that it isn't likely to change in the future. Crossplatform games will always favor 360, it had been so and it will BE so. And there's nothing we can do about it to force companies to make things right. So we either accept it, or we miss out on a good game.
An inferior version of a good game (that costs us the same $)... but a good game nonetheless.
So what can we do but accept our fates as 2nd class citizens?
Those who so naturally and easily "i dont care", again, I evny you. I want to be at peace too. I just can't.
PS3 has technically higher specs than 360. It means the PS3 version CAN be just as good as 360's, if the developers are willing to spend the effort.
They weren't willing to spend the extra effort to make the versions equal.
And still they charge the same for both.
Well played, 2K.Comment

The sad part is people here are also downplaying the jaggies and difference in responsiveness to a mere calf sleeve/headband issue. Some are even arguing that this is a TV issue but the fact that the 360 does have an excellent raw video output regardless of the TV makes this argument invalid.
If people will look at it this way then I guess we will not see a very polished 2k game for the ps3 in this current generation. What really pissed me off a little bit is that they had more time to add some PS Move features and they had no time to fix a very important detail in today's video game generation.Comment

To all the talk about the graphics comparison, I agree with the guy saying that at this point in time with next-gen consoles, the developers should've figured out how to optimize each game equally. It is definitely not PS3's fault that the graphics on 2K11 and most other 3rd party titles are inferior compared to the 360. This is part of the reason why I game on all consoles. For exclusive games, which are becoming few and far in between, and for which version is better graphics wise. Lucky for me, I have a beast PC so I'll be getting the PC version.Comment

You know what's crazy? it's how someone with an xbox 360 has an inferior product. no web browser, no blu-ray player,no free online play, red ring of death, no first party games,no wait, i'm wrong (halo). And you are happy with nba 2k? Funny!Comment

I'm curious if Baseballguy has the PS3 playing in 1080p. The reason I ask is that the game does indeed look awful playing on 720p, but there is a noticeable difference when you force it to 1080p.PSN: sportdan30
