No. Dont redownload file option #3, it's the same fileset.

The slight update is in the UPDATE #1 and UPDATE #2.

PS3 file option #3 was just a modified xbox360 file option #2 at the very beginning. I shouldve just stayed with file option #3 from the onset.

File option #2 was supposed to be for 360 and ps3 users but the ps3 is picky about its mp3 codecs (how it's encoded) so file option #3 was created. I finally realized having file option#2 is redundent as it has the same tracks.

Honestly, is it easier to download two 43mb UPDATE files than to redownload a whole new 940mb file?

I thought updates would be easier.

I changed up the entire structure of file option #1, thats why the new updates are included in that.

Ruben, i'm streaming the m3u files with WMP to my xbox. how would i go about increasing the volume on those types of files? mp3gain seems to only let you use mp3 files and not m3u files.

would i have to increase the volume on tha mp3 reverb files that are in the NBA folder, and then convert those files into m3u files?

So I am confused. How do you get the music onto the ps3 witout burning a disc?
And for PS3 users, can you play your own music from the XMB while playing the game?

Save it to a thumbdrive and then stick the TD into your PS3 and copy the files over

m3u is a type of playlist. They associate various mp3s into a specific order/playlist. You will need to use mp3gain on all 750 mp3s... Changing the audio levels of those files still leaves the m3u playlists in working order (as long as the file name doesnt change). I cant give you specifics because im not sure what your stereo system/tv is giving you, so you may need to go up a small fraction or a larger fraction.

That person who was in contact with someone from 2K over Twitter couldn't you pass us his info so we can give him a compiled list of what needs to be fixed with Custom Arena Music?. Which hopefully could get fixed in the next or at least the second update.

So angry they took out highlights playlist! Hope they can add it in a patch. Why would they mess up something they had perfect last year,

please 2k put it back in... it kills the whole feel.

Patch. God I hate that word. Us PS3 users almost had a good day though.

So, let me get this correct. PS3 users playlists will on play the one same song on the playlist, instead of randomizing between them all?? So im guessing for now I could just make a few different playlists for and spread them out over the arena???

Still a few questions as there are definately a lot more people here with more experience than me.

1) How many different playlists can I make on the PS3 that I can use in game now? I heard 3 different numbers.

2) Gator told me he could make any sound in the world, but isnt sure he can get the volumes even or make them sound like they are being played in an arena. Any suggestions in that area?

3) And does anyone have or planning to make the Mo Williams Godfather Speak Softly theme for his player specific. Didnt see in the downloads.

And lastly, the PS3 download from page 1 is all correct right, no corrupt files???

So far im blown away by 2k11, EA prob got their hands on an early copy and that was their real decision for cancelling Live or Elite or whatever.

This game is what a sports game should be. Im hoping that 2k picks up the college basketball license again.

But thanks guys for the hard work who made those zip files. And any answers to my questions would be appreciated.

1. You can make up 128 playlist on the PS3. But once you enter the game. You can only use 64 of them.

The sounds are too low?????

...why is it (for me) that the sounds are too LOUD? I don't get it...I am deciding against using them, because I'll be playing the game, score a basket like normal, and then LOOOOOOOOOOOOOUD sound booms out of the tv.....

...what can I do?

I find it surprising how there's no audio option for arena music. There's option for everything else like commentary, pa announcer, sound effects but nothing for arena music.

Though if the sound is too soft for ppl, they're lucky cause they can just lower volume of other things, but if its too loud like it is for you(and me), then it just drowns out everything else.

Can't wait to see how good the patch makes the game. If i remember correctly, didn't a patch in 2k10 make ppl love the game so much more and stated that the patch made it seem like a completely new game?

You see everyone is having different opinion about this. Some are saying its too loud, too perfect (me) or too low.

Yea could someone list exactly what we need fixed.


Right now

1.PS3 needs shuffle/random song to play.
2.Tipoff sound needs to be extend to the beginning of the game (both systems)


Anything else I'm missing guys

How do i fix this? When i enter the game and try to choose the different sounds... all i get are the folders.. ( In-Game , Long , etc etc ) i don't get the ACTUAL sounds..

I don't really think the "patch" is going to solve the volume-issues - it will most likley solve the 'PS3 playlist shuffle-issue' which doesn't do any good if the tracks are too darn loud to play.

Honestly, I'd rather have the sounds "TOO SOFT", because I can raise the levels of the crowd, commentary, etc to make it sound like an actual TV broadcast - looks like I'm just gonna have to use 2K sounds.


What's everyone's 'Presentation Sound Levels'????
**I would love to hear everyone's opinon, because maybe I'm missin' somethin and can tweak it.

My custom sounds are way too loud as well (on PS3). Really takes away from the realism. Too bad the game doesn't run the sounds through some kind of stadium filter so that they sound more natural. The Show does this with their custom tracks, I think. Oh well, maybe we'll get that next year.

Thanks everyone for all your help in getting the music in the game. It's awesome.

On a side note, something I just realized that most of you might have overlooked.

For those getting games where sounds disappear or certain songs don't play, if you are streaming from your computer.. make sure your computer doesn't go to sleep!!

I accidently unplugged my laptop last night, putting it into Power Saver mode, which then shut it off 10 minutes later. I was playing a game and noticed the game got awfully quiet..

Thinking the Arena Music was glitched, I restarted the game trying to get the music started again.. then I thought..

Wait, my computer is off, how can it stream! doh!

Hey man i want to take this time to thank you for all your hard work on this.. looking over the files I can really tell this must have taken weeks to do. I wanted to let you know a while ago than if you needed any help with this i can help you. I have computer recording stuff for my band and I can pretty much edit volume, reverb, length, gain of any file. Even from you tube. I was thinking that with the tipoff music being soo short I can edit all the tipoff songs to play the most recognizable or part that fits the best for the moment and that way tipff isnt a complete waste...
et me know if anybodys interested I have a couple done already.
