Nope, I basically listed and in some cases repeated what others have said about the Arena Music on the PS3.

It's known that it doesn't shuffle and @Ronnie2K acknowledged it and said it's already been fixed in the patch. So it's really just a waiting game until then to see if it's really fixed.

Again what I do think we should do is list the other little things that can be fixed now that we have some time before the first patch comes out. The first thing that comes to mind...

- They need to seperate "Intro" and add a "Tip
off" category.

The first should start as soon as the arena/attendance comes on screen, and the second should first be extended and lead up to the ref conducting the tip off.

- Bring back the "Highlights" option.

So we can add music (TV Broadcast Theme) that ends all quarters.

Oh thats sweet and great to hear! So let say I put 50 songs for LONG, then during timeouts, different songs from that 50 will be played randomly right?

And if they ask me what needed to be fixed, definitely the INTRO, the music only goes on at the tip, which is less than 10 second...

And also the defense sounds, is so annoying, it plays every single posession, it should only be played during intense moment, the fans don't yell DEFENSE the whole game...

The 'random system' is broken on the PS3, at least that's what I heard. I have the same problem, I put like 12 songs in my HOME UP playlist and it literally played the same instrumental five times in a row up the court. Pretty annoying. Not sure if the 360 is having the same problem. Hopefully this will be fixed with a patch, I know in the past PS3 has usually fixed its issues through the patches.

I'm pretty upset this is the case for the playlists, I was pretty pumped to put all my custom stuff in the game and now I can only bank on the pre-game intro (which is like 3 seconds), halftime, and individual player sounds.

I feel bad for the people who put these songs together for us to use. It's pretty unfortunate 2k screwed us over.

Even if they don't fix the tip-off music length, I won't really care. What I'm really concerned about is the shuffling and fixing of the playlists of home UP and away UP. The away UP doesn't even play when the road team has the ball lol, it actually plays for the home team. Pretty brutal when you have a defense chant while the home team is setting up a play.

You're allowed to put up to 64 playlists in the game, which is a joke because there's 30 teams, technically we're supposed to only have 2 playlists per team if we wanna make them all different.

I assume this is ps3 system right? Well yea, I put many songs, like 10 into the in game slot, and the first song will always be played, the other 9 never comes up, whats goin on man, anyway to fix this for PS3 USERS???

XBOX 360 version. Ive had that happen last year too. The random system is weird. It' has 25 songs to choose from and on three straight occassions, it picks the same one. Mathematically speaking, the odds of that is something like 1 in 25 cubed, if im not mistake. almost One in 15,625 and its happening to me at least 4 times a game. It's not even the first song in the playlist.

I've since changed things up a bit on the playlist front.

I started with each team having a pool of 20 songs that are to be heard during HOME UP, AWAY UP, and CHANT DEFENSE. So I guess the randomness wasnt really there.

It's changed to where:
HOME UP and AWAY UP are getting 20 different songs a piece. CHANT defense is getting another 20 different songs, out of my pool of 130 tracks. So each venue will have about 60 different songs for three different events. If that doesnt fix things, I may just use the entire generic POOL of Home up/away up songs for each venue.

Then again, maybe its the venue thats broken. I play at some arenas and the sytem is literally flawless all game. Then some arenas, its a nightmare from the start.

Also a WARNING.. When you change the ALL ARENAS playlists, it reverts everything else that is in the arena specific areas back to <none>NONE.

DO NOT MESS WITH ALL ARENAS if you have everything else for every nba venue set up</none>

wtf? If you put playlists on the 'All Arenas' screen everything other arena resets to no playlists? That's pathetic, around Christmas I was gonna put Christmas songs as LONG and halftime in the 'All Arenas' screen. Definetely not gonna wanna fix everything again after Christmas.

Custom Music is a joke this year.

yes, manhattanbeachlakers. I just wanted to have some 80s music for the jordan challenges at HALFTIME and for POTG. But the very act of changing that, will also change every other 30 arenas in the game to that same playlist.

jrose57, ALL ARENAS playlist is for those who may just have one big set of GENERIC playlists. So youd place about 30 tipoff tracks into one playlist, call it tipoff generic playlist. and place that into all arenas... Then as you scroll through the arenas, tipoff generic playlist, will be placed into each arena for you.

Last year it worked out different, but I wont go there.

Nice vids you put up there, Ruben. It definitely gives the game a different vibe when we actually get a good amount of tip-off music. 5 seconds is basically nothing if you ask me.

I'm still more concerned with the shuffled UP and LONG playlists. Any word if this is gonna be fixed in the patch, and if so, when? (I'm a PS3 user)

The all arena playlist seems like a good idea, whats wrong with that??? So every team can have ifferent tip off sng everytime, i kinda like that idea...

jrose, All Arena Custom Music is okay but it takes away the ability to put specific songs in certain arenas. For example The Who should always be playing for the Lakers, Pistons should always have The Final Countdown, Bulls with their songs, etc. etc.

If you set the playlists on All Arenas, then you'll just get random songs.

Any other weird things you caught with PS3 version of the custom music stuff???

Not really just what I mentioned in my last report. I played a few games tonight and switched the Raptors List to "All Arenas" to try different venues which I saw Ruben mention (mind you he's on 360).

When I played with the Hawks at home it was the same problems.

- The "Chant Defense" (which I use now instead of "Away Up") only picks one song (same song for "Chant Defense" in Toronto) for every damn defensive possession. The audio which is one of the newer ESPN chants in the file was way too loud drowning out the play by play and pa announcers.

- Also like previous games only one track plays for "LONG", that one track only played twice during the whole game.

- "Halftime" & "POTG" also only picked one song and the audio (NBA on NBC theme) was too loud drowning out the report.

- "Home Up" played one track a few times in Atlanta. While before in Toronto nothing custom would play, just standard music. At one point though that "Home Up" track also played for the "Away Up" in Atlanta.


Before anything started I loaded up all the playlists, but in the end the whole "Custom Arena Music" for PS3 is broken. The only thing I personally could fix I guess (with suggestions) is the audio levels, which most of the time was too loud.

SIDENOTE: Is there a thread dedicated to the 2K Arts Team? man a few of the arenas are terrible, too much open space that in real life should be filled with a crowd.

Still no answer to my question at all Ruben? I downloaded File #1 for 360 but I dont have these playlists that you mention as alternates to use for Chant Team.

etc


I only have the option of
Chant TEAM- random group 1 or 2.wpl (you pick)
