Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music

OK, so I'm what you would call technologically challenged, so bear with me as I ask what are probably terrible questions:

    1. Windows Media Player. Does that come installed on most home PC's? I have Windows XP. If you go this route, does your PC need to be "on" at all times for it to work?

    2. Is there any other way to get the Custom Music onto the 360 besides WMP or burning CD's? I don't have a CD burner, so that won't work for me.

Djwlfpack, Most brand name store bought PCs have WMP installed already on a computer.. But it just requires a free download if you dont have it. Go for WMP 11. Im also running XP and it runs just fine.

Other routes to take, there is none. Burn a CD and hope the audio levels sound OKAY, or go with streaming and have on demand access to changing audio levels EVEN IN game..

and yes, that computer needs to be on every time you want streaming access.

Those QNZ SPORTS sound bits are just TOO perfect. I''m gonna level out all their sound levels (around 95db or higher) and make sure all their codecs are mpeg 1 layer III so that, in the future when ps3 version is working properly, you can use them right away.

Look for UPDATE #3 tonight sometime.

-two new thunder tipoff- galaga styles (as seen a few pages back)
-Bucks Horn Chant (as seen a few pages back)
-Some files by DirtyNeedles that he listed a few pages back. I cut the length down and did some other stuff
      -Flash Gordon- Wade player sound
-Mo Williams god father player sound
      - haslim player sound ( crank that U!) (linked a few pages back)
      - Got yourself a gun, Nas player sound (linked a few pages back)
      - ~19 QNZ SPORTS real life arena sounds
and lastly about 10 more LONG generic tracks.

We're just getting started folks. It'll all be there in one place instead of browsing through 50 pages for one or two sound bits

        Two quick questions.

I'm on 360 and I set up the music for the Knicks and Nets, but in game I can barely hear anything. Thats with the 2k beats turned volume all the way up to 100.

I'm also streaming from WMP. Does this mean everytime I play, my PC must be turned on, and I have to setup my 2k beats all over again or are they saved somehow?

I have a couple files ive been editing if anybodys interested. I have the chicken dance organ music as well as very clear william bell type charge and baseball organ music type stuff. Also, i was trying to do the lakers "we want tacos chant" but i read somewere that its already in the game. Can anybody confirm this? I havent managed to score even 80 point yet, much less 100.

            Thanks, Ruben.

I'll check and see if I have the program, if not I'll download it.

Is the syncing process with the 360 pretty easy?

How will PS3 version be fixed, like Home Away Up will work properly? And intro music won't be 5 secs? And the Defense Chant won't be play every single possession, instead, only during the intense moments???

I am having the same problem. Anyone have any answer to how player music volume could be increased?

I changed all of the sounds for the players on my team to the "Magic" by BOB song that was listed as an intro for Orlando. It doesn't seem like it is playing or it is just not very loud. Any tips?

So I just played a couple online games and heard a normal Non custom arena music game first hand.. Not that bad of an experience..

Has anyone gone through every venue and truly heard some unique stuff?

I feel like I may be missing out on some cool stuff by going straight to custom music.

Quick yes or no question that has probably already been answered but I wouldn't know how to search for it. (xbox 360)

Can you group (for example) 4-5 music files in a single playlist, and have the game cycle through the 4-5 files (like EA NHL)? Or can you only assign a single song to a single playlist? (like NCAA)

Anyone post the NBA TV Intro? or could someone give suggestions how to rip the audio from the TV?

Hitting up Ronnie2K on Twitter would be the best way to list our concerns regarding CAM or are there better and faster avenues?

Sometimes they play some of the non custum music sounds so is a good look best of both worlds.
