Basically, besides downloading the update, what steps will need to be taken by those that already have File #1 downloaded and are using those files in their associations/etc.?

You can change arena music now in association mode right?

With given mp3s, you would be tasked with placing those in certain playlist and resaving those playlists, and then in custom arena music, change the playlist if you changed it in WMP.

The other option is me uploading my own playlists and NBA folder with only the new stuff in those folders, and you go about doing it that way... thats like an extra 30 minutes out of my way. so I may just let people do what they want with this next update. Time to learn how to do playlists.

Hey Ruben, any chance that u may be able to edit that Lakers 3pt sound.....I have it set up from the file that was put on here the other day. I assigned it to LA's 3 pt shooters but when they score theres like a 2 sec delay before it plays and it cuts off the sound b4 it plays out. So i was wondering if you could have it play right away without the delay, thanks.

Im actually fine with the delay, its the fact that 2k only gave us like 5-6 seconds for player sounds, if it were like 10 secs that would be fine, just in case a sound ran a little longer are started a sec late.

Delay was added due to what happened last year. Some times the PA guy would overlap, so all the player sounds have like a 1.5 second beginning delay and a 4 second end delay, so it doesnt overlap.

laker 3pt sound seemed to be different with a longer delay. thats fixed in this latest update


New update coming within the hour.

Not sure how ill release it. It might just be all tracks in a folder. It seems like way too much work releasing another set for file option #1 users. It may be time to start learning how to open playlists and applying new songs and doing some physical work.

Hey Ruben, I want to thank you first of all. This is my second year using these sounds and they work perfect. I just KNEW that you would have the beginning 15 seconds of this song on here this year as it's played at a few venues across the league, I know the Bulls wear this clip out! If you could add this to the new mix it'd be perfect, but if not then if you could just reverb and add whatever magic you do to these tracks for my own personal use it'd be much appreciated. Thank you for your hard work, it is VERY much appreciated.

Just download it and check it out. It's pretty much self explanatory.
-Many tracks inside one folder
-SORTING is optimized via ARTIST and ALBUM mp3 tag recognition

For File Option #1 streaming Xbox 360 users:
-Time to learn how to make and edit playlists.
---Step 1: Analyze the files and decide which ones you want to use.
---Step 2: Pick the file that you want to add to a playlist. For example the new live defensive BUCKS with horn sound bit.
---Step 3: Locate the appropriate CHANT DEFENSE playlist in the my playlist/home.away.chant.player folder.
---Step 4: Having found the Chant Defense group 1- with MIL playlist, open up WMP and play it , or right click and play in WMP. Now you want to have the new files located somewhere you can easily drag them from. So leaving them in one folder next to the NBA folder is acceptable.
---Step 5: Drag the new live defensive BUCKS with horn sound file into the right hand side of WMP. There should be a list pane open
---Step 6: Having added a new track, You will need to press on the words "NOW PLAYING" at the top, and save playlist as. something new, in this case, BUCKS chant defense group 1.

For playlists that are already there, like Knicks HU AU group 2, open that up in WMP, let it begin to play, and drag and drop from the folder with the songs, into WMP list pane on the right. Instead of saving a new playlist name, simply overwrite the prior playlist (make sure the extension is the same wpl/m3u)

Thats pretty much the best advice I can give you right now.. There are other means to messing around with playlists inside of WMP, but you can experiment with that. IE, playing one song or highlights a set of songs that are in the now playing LIST pane, you can right click and ADD TO... and select additional playlists, to add those song (s) into the playlist seamlessly.

If all this seems like too much work, it probably is. Ignore this update and move on.

here's the settings I found in the old 2K10 thread

sweet, you had me scared. If anyone still needs reverb (or gverb) settings for audacity I found these on the 2k hockey forums that someone posted earlier:

Then after you use gverb if you choose amplify it will automatically raise or lower the db (whichever is needed). I was using cooledit pro before but I tried audacity and it's works much better.

Hey guys...I was playing a few online games last night. And notice that the player of the game custom track plays after the games. Which is pretty cool.

I also notice that for Tyreke Evans they have nice PA sound effect when he scores. Its pretty cool.

I also notice that the LONG was playing place of the TIPOFF. Even though I don't have any playlist for TIPOFF. Very weird...

Quick question before I download this file: Do these tracks play at the correct sound level on PS3? Earlier sound clips I uploaded for The Show are playing way too loud during timeouts and tipoff in NBA2K11.
