Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
How is everyone gonna fit all these songs in the game when we're only allowed 64 playlists? I would imagine that after all of the tip, long, home up and away playlists there would be no room for player sounds.Comment

Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
It sure is a bummer for the playlist limit tho. 2K did a good job in making avery arena a different experience, but with player sounds, timeouts, tipoffs, and the authentic instrumentals that some arenas play (which it already does in game, but with the game soundtrack music) it would really make every arena feel that much more authentic.Comment

Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
Yea bro I already asked that too, no answer. Its seems were stuck with 30 tipoffs and 30 timeouts, and that leaves us with 4 playlists left. At least with tipoffs you should be able to save yourself like 7 playlist as Ive seen that 3 teams use "welcome to the jungle", 2 use "thunderstruck", and 2 use "zombie nation". The other option is to just use as many playlists as you can to make YOUR home court the most authentic, as you'll be playing there most often.

The PS3 can only make 128 playlist. The video game itself can only see the first 64 playlist you have on the PS3. What a lot of us have been doing. Is making generic playlist for all arenas. For example, What I've done is made playlist for Halftime, Long, player of the game, and player sounds (and one Home Up). Since it known around here already that the PS3 is not shuffling playlist. Some of us have just made player sounds, halftime, and player of the game. But what I've done is make a specific Long playlist for each arena. Like the Bobcats long is Janet Jackson song.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

I might have 5 max playlists open for player sounds.Comment

Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
I did see that people were making generic playlists as far as the playlist limit issue goes, but in the context of what people are talking about it is kinda dissapointing because we can't make every arena be as authentic as one would assume with custom music. For example, even though tipoff is relatively broken as it only plays 7 seconds, I've gone and edited every song to play the best, or most recognizable part of the song for those seven seconds. Even with Boston and dallas, teams that use welcome to the jungle, I have actually made two different versions of that song to make one arena different from the other. So that already is 30, and tipoff is important to me as it sets the mood for the game. And some instrumental music is actually pretty arena specific, like in Atlanta they play alot of ludacris. What I'm saying is that this feature couldve been soo much more. Don't get me wrong I love it for what it is, but imagine with like what you guys have done with the knicks organ music, LAs, and team specific LONG lists you guys are doing every arena would be a different experience. I'm not gonna lie I do play every game but I've never made it through a whole season, but when I read about this feature it made me look forward to every game.Comment

Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
TIPOFF are not even worth creating because they only play for few seconds. With that said... There only 15-17 teams with special LONG sounds. So I don't see how your having trouble. With the other teams that don't have a LONG. You just make a generic playlist and put that in All Arenas. What I do is before I go in the game I randomly choose a song from the long and change it. Keeps it fresh for those teams with generic playlist.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
Hey Guys,
I'm a little late in the game on the audio aspects of the game, and to be honest didn't read ALL 118 pages of this thread. But, I have read through most and was wondering if you guys could clarify exactly what is possible with a PS3 and what is not until the patch.
My understanding is that the PS3 allows you to import "playlists" of songs we create in the main PS3 menu. But the game only read up to 64 songs. And it only uses 1 playlist that I may set up for each arena. So, if I choose 1 song to use as a timeout song for my team, that song will play every timeout (which obviously would get old).
Is that correct on what happens?
Now, I still am a little confused on actually slecting what song or playlist plays for each event (haven't tried it yet), so if someone can post or direct me to the step by step that would be great.
I read the 1st page over and over ,but still am a bit confused on the real process for PS3 owners.
Thanks!Comment

Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
Well, just an update on my own trial:
I put together a playlist of various mp3s (songs that were included in the download links form the first page) for the different events (Tipoff, Hm Up, Aw up, Timeouts, etc.) and during the game it only plays 1 maybe 2 songs for each event. Example: if I'm on OFF coming up court it played the same file over and over...was annoying after the 8th time in a row...LOL Sometimes, like in timeouts, nothing plays at all, just crowd noise. None of the music files I used seem to play durng the timeouts.
Is this the main problem people have been talking about with PS3? Playlists of 6-8 different songs just playing 1 song only?Comment
