Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
I don't know if you guys know this. But 2k11 for the PS3 is a older version of the game. Compared to the 360...I a few things are missing from PS3 version that the 360 verison has. Namely....shuffling songs, 20 second timeout displaye, and a few others...Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
Ok guys... I'm new to the whole "Custom Arena Music" craze I've been hearing good things about but... after reading several pages as well as the starter post I need some guidance at which option is current for "360" and how to immediately get it working. The more I read the more confused I get.
Any help is deeply appreciatedWhere they DO that? ? ?Comment

Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
My understanding is that the PS3 allows you to import "playlists" of songs we create in the main PS3 menu. But the game only read up to 64 songs. And it only uses 1 playlist that I may set up for each arena. So, if I choose 1 song to use as a timeout song for my team, that song will play every timeout (which obviously would get old).
Is that correct on what happens?

Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
Ruben, anybody??? What is your suggestion for the best way to simply raise the volume of a recording. I re-recorded some of my stuff but amplifying it seems to hurt the quality...i'm using audacity right now but i'd be willing to give another program a shotComment

You can go with that as it' has folders and playlists for that quick and easy plug in and play factor. REALISM is thrown out, as you just get a great variety of generic stuff.
Lately, there have been song file additions, that do not work immediately with the file option #1 setup.. It requires you, the user, to start learning how to make playlists and incorporating all of the files. File option #1 was done more as a favor, but it seems more like a burden as some get the impressions that this whole process is easy or simple and want stuff handed to them. (not directed at anyone in particular) I may have been wrong for even compiling all of the files. I learned how to stream using google searches and youtube searches. All on my own, for the most part. Trouble shooting, all on my own. Some people are better off not even using custom soundtracks if it wasnt for the big fileset. It's alluring but it takes a dedicated effort. Keep that in mind. This whole process just may not be for some of you.
File option #1 is missing almost 300 tracks I would estimate.
You could also go with file option #2/3, and add in all of the subsequent update files (most of the significant links are listed there), to get your core file list set up. Then it's on you to either stream them and create playlists, or burn them onto cd-rs and do what you want that way
------------------
I'll likely get a final edition file option #1 and file option #2/3 out there when the patch comes out. So I guess some could wait for that. THat may be the best option for many.
zen master, if the sound is really low to begin with, amplifying it up, you may just be bringing out the flaws even more. Are your files really low in volume? I use wavepad sound editor to get he initial sound up a bit if its really low. Then I jump in with mp3gain for the 4-5dB difference. I've experience slight clipping when raising some sounds up. But it's just something you have to deal with.
EDIT: maybe my wording on the first post was confusing, so I added in some stuff to make it easier.
For now, file option #1 needs all the extra stuff at the bottom under EDIT, and file option #2/3 users need just about everything below it including updates #1 and 2.. Confusing as first, if you get them all in a program like itunes, and take time to look through what you have, you can get rid of any duplicates you seeLast edited by RubenDouglas; 11-13-2010, 12:45 AM.Comment

Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
I dont know if this is a placebo effect but after an update the long on 360 are more random(or is a case)..
i think for the volume the only solution is try a perfect mix with presentation(my are 45 comment,100 psa,75 sound effect,45 crowd and 100 player)...
i think this song is perfect for long in game and POTG...
and i heard this song often in the game...
For the nuggets tip-off(or long)
I use
or Bitterswet symphony of VerveComment

Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
Thanks for the advice Ruben. I downloaded option #2 last night. I was thinking to myself. . . self... option #1 is probably a little out dated for your taste.
So now... I'm off to manually edit arenas. Didn't realize it would be time consuming but I appreciate the tracks.Last edited by RedmanR; 11-13-2010, 11:31 AM.Where they DO that? ? ?Comment
