Do you mean show your back to the defender? You can do that. You can also obviously post-up without having used your dribble and your back is to the defender.

i dont mean the tripple threat move where u protect the ball with ur back i mean the actual post up animation before u use your dribble
if so how do u do it ? cuz i ve tried repeatedly on the demo

I really hope they have the team specific colours that the fans wear during the playoffs. This will make the game so much more authentic. I don't know why they don't have it in already.

It's hard to randomly use Phoenix I think because how you call plays changes a lot. You call them as you are coming up the court and you basically go right into them when you cross into the halfcourt, so your mindset has to change. Also, since I'm still getting used to the new controls, I'm not as dangerous with Nash as I should be penetrating and kicking. That being said, I still say it's the most enriching team to use, if you use them right, because I just love pick and pops and drive and kicks, or drive kicks and swings -- it helps that swinging the ball in this game is good times when everything clicks on a possession.

As for signature shots: Nash has a new one, Dudley has a new one.

You just pass to someone who is engaged in the post already. Then you're in the post and haven't used the dribble.

Wow, can't be any happier to hear this. Glad they got the playcalling system down this good, to the point where phoenix gets into their sets as soon as you get up the court. Phx is the only team I ever play with so I'll have plenty of time to get used to em..Thanks alot for this. Read that you liked nash new sig, thats good to hear as well. Hope Dudleys jumper looks good too.

Is Mo Williams signature song played when he hits a 3? It sounds like the godfather theme.

It doesn't appear to be in (licensing issue I suppose?).

can you go into the Team Up menus and verify if we can still create custom team up games with custom sliders to play with friends against the AI?

this was my most played mode since they dont have some kind of co-op feature yet...

Yep you can still do private matches with custom sliders.

Yeah I mean not all their sets are instantaneous, but it's clearly a Phoenix-style offense. And Dudley's jumper looks much better than his generic one from 2K10 -- I was not a fan of that generic shot for anyone, it was way too long. Actually, while on the topic, it looks like DJ Augustin got a new jumper, too. He had that super fast jumper last year (may have been generic as well) and I could never hit a shot with him online because of it.

OK, next game I play I will take a close look.

Just an FYI, if you hit multiple shots in the same spot close by a certain amount, the chart in the game will only draw one circle. Same for misses.

And make sure you're looking at every quarter...

Wow that sucks because i don't think this is too hard to implement into the game and it will make the playoffs have such a greater feel.

not sure if its already been addressed...last yr it was almost a given that if you wanted a realistic long-term Association mode you had to have control of all 30 teams and atleast monitor the cpu actions...

with the supposed advancements in the cpu A.I. Logic....is it necessary to control all 30 teams or can i just set it to control 1 team and just go about my team and not have to worry about the cpu teams?

because controlling all 30 teams is alota work...

Is there any list of the new stats/attributes they added to each character? (ex: John Johnson's shooting stats were Close, Mid & 3, but in 2k11 they were close, mid, 3 & fadeaway)

I don't remember every attribute, but I'll list a couple I don't recall being there:

off-hand dribbling, shot low post, shoot off dribble (I actually think this one was in but just going to list in case), ball security.

None of those may be new, but again, I just don't remember each rating from 2K10.

1. Can you please post the names of all the classic players that are on the classic teams besides the Bulls ones ? Mostly so peopple like portlandblazer can start creating the missing ones.

2. Can you confirm that we can or cant trade coaches in the main mode (not association) ?

3. Can you confirm if the AI ever does or proppose 3 team trades (only the user is able since it was introduced) ?

4. Can you confirm if we can choose/edit/assign who the core players are in Association ?

4. You can assign someone as a "Star" this year rather than just a "Starter." In addition, it seems like the sub-role within the player role is gone, so you just pick sixth man, prospect, etc. and that's it now.

Thank you so much for giving out all these responses. I've read through the entire read (skimmed some parts that are less important...lol) and I'm really impressed with the game (without owning it ).

I have two quick questions -- one just recently asked that you may have missed -- and one that will probably have you raising your eyebrow.

First, regarding the trade logic AI mentioned two posts above, how bad does it get say 3 years in? Do we see Al Horford potentially being a 12-team man by the end of his career? He probably isn't their "core" player, so I'm hoping we DON'T see something like that.

Secondly, any chance you let me know if an automatic double-team occurs right away when a get like Magic Johnson, Scottie Pippen, Michale Jordan, Kobe Bryant, etc...posts up a short guy? If a guy is allowed to get close to the paint, a lot of open space is created for wide open shots...

When I simulate an Association, I'll look into it.

The CPU is very aware of the mismatches and will call for doubles. Some are more instantaneous than others it seems in the post, but they will come on mismatches. If a user gets involved with a mismatch, he has to call for the double, the CPU won't do it for you.
