Re: NBA 2K11 Video: Strategy Session: Volume 1 - Defensive Settings

I'm a coach mode only player on Madden, NCAA Football and The Show. I typically play NBA 2K. Coach mode in this game has to me not been good. BUT I'm going to have to try it this year.

Great video Czar and thank you for posting. As a guy who is new to the series(not basketball) its nice to see these vids prior to playing the game as it gets me "familar" with it now instead of "wasting time" on release day.

Again thank you and look forward to more strategy sessions.

As for the game....WOW!!!!! The more I see on this game the more and more impressed I become.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

One question I have, is whether your AI Teammates are going to react to whats happening to people.

Like if a pick and roll is trapped, am I going to see the free guy diving to the hoop?

Or if Im going all out to deny a dangerous wing player the ball, is the CPU going to run sets to free him up.

I haven't been trapped in a screen roll often enough to say.

As for denying the cpu player its dangerous with the spacing I tried to do that with Jordan and the bulls were winning 13-0 got beat back door a few times but its just difficult to deny a guy like that. You will have to test it for yourself to really know I guess but it was not as effective for me.

Playing a season has never been something that will challenge you as much as now. You can imagine how coaches feel night in and out, especially the ones with their jobs on the line
Ima force ppl 2 shoot now.....ima make ppl show me dat they know everyone's release but everything else will be shut down! Im saggin off da guards n da SF n im goin under all da screens n force ppl 2 shoot cuz der is no drivin in ma parking lot hahaha
