Wow is the only word that comes to mind. That's incredible. What a statement for the sports gaming industry and 2K sports. Congratulations.

Exactly. The grind of my player is what makes it so satisfying to me.

It's an incredible score for a sports game - that much is clear. But I don't think it should be taken to mean the game is better or worse than the other titles you mentioned.

Never said the scores should've been taken that way, and obviously it doesn't mean that this game is any better than the others. The point is it's an incredible score for a sports game, as you mentioned. Looking forward to October 5th.

Ok I just read it. WOW!!!!!

I know the people at 2K have to have their heads sky high right now. Especially after EA retreated with Elite.

Their not only whipping Elite...they've become one of the top dawgs period. So Elite is not their competition anymore. Now they're competing with The Show, NHL, and FIFA for best sports game. Not just hoops.

                2K should be proud!

I think for the sim guys around here it's great that this tool was complaining about passing behind too hard. Just goes to show how easy passing has been in the past in 2K games. Complaining about long outlet passes getting picked off when the teammate he's trying to throw to is covered lol, I esp don't wanna hear that noise when you're playing on broadcast cam and can't even see your intended recipient.

And yes, this game will be heaven on a disc of basketball heads.

I guess we know y NBA DELETE gave up.....I mean its kinda hard to sell a game that would have gotten no higher then a 6 vs one that got a 9.5

IGN rarely gives out 9+ for sports games, so a 9.5!!!!

Understood...I'm just used to seeing people comparing IGN's old scores with their new ones, usually unaware of the change they made. Been happening ever since Starcraft II came out - the first game to be reviewed under their new system. Apologies if I offended you.

Here's the link to that article for anyone interested, btw - I think the change is better because people talk more about the review content than the number.

You can't dilute "best sports game of this generation" with a number though - that's the most important claim I'll take from this article, and it's quite a compliment to 2k Sports.
