Plays!?, run plays? I just give the ball to Jordan and clear it out! Are you freakin kiddin me!? Now I haven't won a game, but heh, it's Jordan! As you can see fellahs I am really enjoying this game.

The classic mode cries out for downloadable teams! The phoenix suns of 93, reggie miller, old miami heat teams, and the shaq and penny led magic, to name a few. 2K is sitting on a gold mine with the classic thing! Charge 5 dollars or whatever for a block of 4 classic downloadable teams. Golden!

Re: Official NBA 2K11 Impressions Thread (360, PS3)

      NBA 2K11 is the greatest game I've ever played...and I'm a GAMER.

This game is absolutely incredible. The Michael Jordan intro after the start menu is stunning and utterly powerful. It immerses you into a nostalgic dreamworld of awe unlike anything I've ever experienced. It's enough to bring tears to your eyes. But that's not even close to being the reason it's so great, once you start playing the game, you feel as if this is THE REAL DEAL. The game is so deep its ridiculous. Advanced controls on offense and defense will take a while for anyone to master. There are literally DOZENS of different ways to play the game. Every single nuance that makes the NBA so exciting and intricate is included and at your fingertips. It all runs so smoothly and responds so immaculately that you actually feel like you're controlling the NBA's superstars. Signature gathers and signature moves this year are remarkable. Lebron's quick dribble spin and D-Wade's quick bounce into his jumper are fluid and life-like in a way that I thought not capable in a video game. It's unbelievable. Kobe Bryant is an absolute nightmare from mid-range. Arguably unstoppable in the right hands. And then there's MJ. Ho-ly SHI-ITE. I played a game with Mike this morning against the Lakers after the start up menu and saw SEVERAL SIGNATURE MOVES that were just jaw-dropping. His tongue wags and he finishes at the rim like NO OTHER. I'm astonished.

This is the most realistic, most immersive, most ingenious video game I have ever seen in my life. Forget setting a bar for sports games. The amount of work and the amount of love and passion that went into making this game is flat out inspiring for video games of all creeds. I seriously think this game will spark a change in video games. What's acceptable and what's expected from the consumer will undoubtedly change after this unmatched package 2K has delivered. If you're not bringing the goods, just don't make the game. Period. 2K has set the bar so high is seems impossible to raise it any further. There are a few things I think 2K can add. First of all L2/LT should also be a pass modifier that allows you to make the right kind of pass to get around defenders. If your player has a high passer rating then the pass modifier would allow him to make a great pass of dozens of different animations. It's absolutely needed I think considering how vamped the D is in the game. Other than that. The game is flawless. It's not leaving my PS3 all year. Also, the PS3 version is identical to the XBox version. I've seen both. The only difference is the glare and reflections on the court but that's not a big deal because I think the XBox version is TOO glossy and doesn't look real. The PS3 version isn't glossy at all. The best representation would be somewhere in the middle. And oh, D-Fish has his right facial hair in the PS3 version as well.

But in any event, the game is special. It truly is and EVENT. You MUST own this incredible game. The soundtrack is even INCREDIBLE. I love nearly EVERY TRACK. If you're fan of hoops or just of greatness in general. This is the very definition of GREATNESS. A remarkable piece of entertainment. 2K is where amazing happens.

This game is equal parts fun and equal parts frustrating. Every time I think I should change the sliders, I get on a 10-2 and bring the game back. However,I think my feelings are slightly biased since ive played more myplayer with 41 rated player then with Jordan. I will say playing with Jordan is amazing. The only thing i wish is that auto play calls start quicker.

I also got the hold the fat lady achievement out of the box. I was so in awe of the game that magic ran all over me, but I remembered Czar's videos and put Pippen on him and slowly and surely, we whittled down the lead. Jordan had like 40 points. It was mind blowing!

Absolutely sick. The opening sequence is awesome and I grew up hating the Bulls (Pistons fan here)....

I don't know if people have discussed this post-release but.....How bad is the PS3 version? Pre-release, the users who had the game early commented that the PS3 version was a huge dissappointment and they'd be buying the xbox 360 version even though they had the game already. I'm a PS3 user...This is the ONLY thing making me hesitate buying this game. I'm a huggggggge sports game fan.

Classic teams started long ago with the old Maddens. I'm not trying to rain on it, but it is pretty interesting, from a marketing perspective, how 2k was able to make an old feature seen in past games into a big deal.

PS3 version is IDENTICAL to the Xbox version sans the glossy floor. Which is TOO glossy on Xbox and not glossy at all on PS3. The right representation is in the middle. Which neither version has. BUY THIS GAME! Trust me. It's incredible. I own a PS3 and I've been playing it all morning. Read my impression two posts above to see what I think of the game.

I think it has to do more with the fact that these players are actually named and with basketball, the models and players look like who they are suppose to represent as opposed to San Francisco QB #16 who really doesn't matter because you can't see his face.

But you are correct in that it is very interesting from a marketing perspective. They have done a great job in that aspect.

Alright guys im back from work, and im going to take the advice, and lower the skill level (was playing on hall of fame by the end of 2k10, so got cocky and I was getting smashed on superstar) And I have to hit the practice gym. My biggest problem right now is the controls. Like someone said before....there is so much depth to the control that the instruction Manuel cant even touch 25% of it.

When talking about bringing older teams. The best thing about 2k is having 2K share. A lot of people last year made their own classic teams. I remember last year I downloaded a great Bulls 96-97 team that was pretty accurate.

amazing game, but my only issue is with the rosters. Too many players out of position. I should just become a rosters rater and make the best out there and force 2k to hire me... but i have a life so i'll just change the positions
