As a more casual NBA fan and gamer, there are three very small editions that have made a HUGE impact in my overall enjoyment this year:

1) Being able to use the button to shoot in-game AND during free throws.

2) Being able to have the CPU call all my plays for me (especially with PlayVision set to "Full").

3) Controller setting "Alternate B".

Thank you 2K, thank you. Not only have you made the best and deepest basketball game ever, but you've also made it much more accessible to fans such as myself.

Got the game on midnight release. Played 2 games and wow I was blown away by the intro. 2k really went in on this game

I played my Lakers (of course) and lost by 5 to the magic. I had 10 min qtrs playing on sim pro difficulty. The FG % were very good though I turned over the ball so many damn times I didn't get a realistic score at the end of the game (ended up being low) but that's good because the defense is very tough.

My 2nd game was against the rockets, this time I bump the game up to 12 mins and was getting a much more realistic score. I won that one by 9. The cpu is a beast. I have to tone down my passing as I get too friendly tryna look for open players and ending up turning the ball over.

Currently playing with the bulls now against the Knicks. I'm loving how smooth this game plays. I got to get use to being more precise with the passing, and defense is def the theme this year for 2k11. No defense, no wins...

Also calling out plays is so much more fun now. It's night and day difference from 2k10 to 2k11.

And that my friends, turns the casual into the hardcore, or at least a regular lol.

This game is so fluid, so clean, so basketball. I'm still astonished at what I played last nite...impatiently waiting to get off work.

After 2 yrs away, I'm falling in love all over again.

The authenticity of this game on the whole (graphics, feel, individual players, team styles, plays) blows my mind. I'm still getting used to the newer controls but I'm picking it up pretty fast.

The only thing that has bugged me so far is the cartoonish rebounding (but only for bigs, perimeter player rebounding looks fine). But hey, if that's the only "gripe" (more of an observation than complaint) with the gameplay...

I can't imagine this game getting old at any point in time.

Incredible job, 2k. This is unreal, you guys definitely outdid yourselves this year.

not ashamed to say so far cpu has been kicking my butt on simulation pro. takes some adjusting. i got blown out first game, down by 19, cut to 7 but couldnt get closer. 2nd game was tight whole way, but late in the 4th a few consecutive turnovers did me in...damn the D is active picking away passes. few sliders i mite touch...increase cpu foul freqency a bit, and maybe lower the one that picks off passes. they literally pick off every pass!

the players do jump way too high on rebs tho...anyone know what can tone that done? maybe lowering vertical? other than that, game plays like a dream so far

1. I think OS is at user over load, took me 10 minutes to get on here, kept saying website can't be found.

2. I am getting my butt handed to me by the Wizards on PRO SIM, what the hell ? Areanas is lighting my butt up. Losing by 15 points.

3. John Wall broke my ankles 5 times in the 1st quarter alone.

4. The intro to this game was just awesome !

5. Holy crap I didn't know how damn deep the controls are to this game. Way more stuff you can do that isn't mentioned in the instruction book. I swear the instruction book only lists 1/4 of the things you can do in the game.

6. People weren't lying when they said you got to run plays, the cpu will kill that iso quick if you try to do it every trip.

7. Why they got to double team Rose like that after only 3 consective baskets ? LOL They trying to shut him down early forcing me to pass the ball and score with somebody else, nice touch.

Anyway going back to the game and see if I can over come the Wall and Areanas show, they 2 just straight killing me with their drive and kick game. I swear to god if Wall drive to the hole again I am going to foul him hard, real hard LOL.

The only thing pissing me off is this game seems determined to NOT save gameplay/coaching settings from mode to mode. My camera view stays, but I have to keep going in and changing my playcall settings, etc, every time I try a new mode.

And yes, I've set these all up at the main menu and saved them to my profile AND settings.

Well after bumping the difficulty up to All Star/Sim, I can say I am not worthy I have been getting my butt handed to me, lol.

I just went into New York and got handled with my Lakers. One word- UGLY.

Gonna go back down to Pro/Sim and see if I can hang. Glad to see mostly all are enjoying this masterpiece of a game.

just the intro ....
anyway, this game basically does everything better

maybe I just need to give it time. im probably just to use to 2k10 and being able to generate scoring without calling plays in the halfcourt set.

im glad i spent days playing the demo cuz the sim-pro setting is no joke
you gotta know what youre doing or you are toast

as i said im still and always have been a liveguy but man the improvements with the gameplay graphics and the flow and speed itself is so dam impressive and seems improved from 2k10

i am so impressed with this game from top to bottom

i know its nothing new to you regular 2k guys, but to me, the fact that you can not only and easily share just about every type of file, and even edit and customize your own freaking draft class is HUGE!!!!!!!!!

with sports games as ive gotten older i appreciate franchise modes and simulation, still love actually playing of course, but i love the 2k11 franchise mode and that you can play every game and every team, and not a pathetic rewind-situation that live10 has

lol-i cant get enuf of this game, im choosing playing it/exploring it over sleep, good thing i took the day off work, or working from home, kind of-

Hahahahahahahahahahah!! Just got the game! All I can do is laugh, man. That introduction is off the meat rack! They got Jordan, man, Jordan!! Hahahaha! Them 2K boys put their foot in it!

This game is by far the best basketball game I've ever played and yes that includes College Hoops 2k7 I think it was? The controls just feel incredibly smooth. The presentation is absolutely amazing and of course me being from Washington DC...John Wall is MONEY!

Awesome job 2k...you have done it again! Great title.

i hate day 1, i dont know what im doing. Im trying to run a play i throw it to (A)...but its not the (A) that it once was = turnover

same here. i got a five second violation trying to get out of the quick sub menu. lol.

even without knowing how to play, this game is great. i had lebron and jordan going one on one on the black top. it doesn't get any better than that.
