@ ace lol ill say this, my friend who lives with me has a old tube tv (480i like u). His first statements was "it looks the same as 2k10.". So u might not notice much of a difference except for the players looking bigger.

I'd say skip the game and put the $ in a jar until you get enough for a new tv...

I've played around 15 games so far and I'm continuously getting my a** handed to me by the CPU. All-Star difficulty is no joke this year.

I'll do a decent job in the 1st qtr scoring and playing defense and then the CPU just goes off on some crazy run where they start scoring at will and I can't buy a basket.

I feel like I've gotten a grasp for how the game plays and am playing some smart ball too so I dunno. Maybe I'll give in and bump it down to Pro...even though I don't really want to lol.

Very early impressions...

The new playcalling system = awesome. So easy to run. Massive, massive improvement. Once you learn your team's plays, this is going to be great.

Old school teams = way, way too cool. Honestly, just way too cool. Bulls v Knicks from 1995 in the old MSG with the organ music = worth every cent of my $$$ right there

BTW, Warriors just owned me. Did a play where steph ran down court by himself on a full court inbound pass... for an easy uncontested layup

My mouth dropped because not only was I not expecting it but it was something I've never seen anything like before.

I think the demo was an older build

well that makes sense; a lot of aliasing and whatnot. it did look worse than the vids and screens i've been seeing. anyway, that's good to know because i refuse to buy inferior ports. which the ps3 has gotten plenty of for some reason.

wow, midnight release has come and gone in 2 timezones and there's not that many impressions posted here... could be good or bad i guess..

i was going to say the mods should start removing all the general chatter from this thread to make it easy for people to see impressions posted, but then they'd have to remove this post too ;p

I was extremely skeptical about buying it for ps3 over the 360, but decided to go for it, and it's much better than the demo and completely fine.

I've had the game for a week and i know your pain. I think i lose focus for a little bit and the cpu just gives me the business. You have to somehow get to the line or get a lay up or easy bucket because the jump shots will not drop.

just picked it up from gamestop and wow there was actually a line for the midnight release...I thought it only happened for games like halo and COD...

anyways just played a game against my bro with the thunder and all i gotta say is I've never had this much fun playing a bball game...
-the presentation is jaw-dropping (the opening brought a tear to my eye seeing how i'm a bulls fan)
-Isomotion at its finest (I couldn't believe how many moves I could pull off with Westbrook)
-PS3 version is fine and plays real smooth, muuuch better than the demo ('cept a bug where the ref wouldn't pass the ball for the inbound play and had to take a timeout)

there's a lot more to say but i gotta get going....still so much to try out...

I haven't beaten the computer yet and I had the game since FRI-DAY LoL, yeh the computer is extremely tough this year. I'm getting great games out the box, i'm running plays and you can't made any mistakes because the cpu picks up on this and will punish you. I just played the lakers with durantula and I lost 68-49. Durant had 27 points on 13 of 28 shots.
