I would certainly recommend turning playing roles off, you are going be trading people all the time if you want to keep guys happy, I make trades whenever i feel a team needs to get younger, an example of me doing this is at the end of year 2. I noticed the Lakers needed to reload if they were looking for a return to the finals after losing to the Heat in 7 last year. So I sent Walton (expiring) and a rookie center to the Nets for Anthony Morrow and Sundiata Gaines.

You are certainly handicapping yourself with player roles on IMO.

Alright, This Is Like A Summary Of My Assocation So Far. Comment On how it is And Rate Lineup at the End!:
In The Offseason Before my 1st Season. I Decided to Change(Rebuild) The Sacramento Kings. My 1st Big Trade of the Offseason Was Trading Away Big Man Demarcus Cousins For the Energetic Stephen Curry. More trades Through the First Season Landed Starters Like Paul George, J.Noah, and Taj Gibson. And also Bench Help Like Kurk Hinrich and Kyle Korver. In that Season. Paul George Won All Rookie 2nd Team. In the Playoffs, I got the 7th Seeded and Was pitted against the Denver Nuggets. A Team that at the Time was Amazing. Though I judged them As An Easy Win. I was Very Wrong. Carmelo Kept On Scoring And Pouring on Points Each Game(Note:This was on My 2nd Account which doesn't have Living Rosters) . Each game He Scored 30+, And My Players Like Tyreke Evans And Stephen Curry Could Not Perform To their Fullest Which Was What I needed to Get into The Series.
In the End I ended up Getting Swept By the Eventual Western Conference Champions...
Nuggets Got to NBA Finals To Face the Heat. Which Was A High-Scoring Clash To the End Which Ended up going to Game 7. In Which Lebron Went Clutch As the Heat Won 122-101.

After the dissapointing ending. I decided to change my lineup even more. Azabuike decided that he didn't want ANY part of my team even with a big contract. I believe the only player I picked up was my new Starting SF, Caron Butler. My team was set to me. But then, I decided, why not trade away a couple of backups and a 2nd round to pick up Wilson Chandler and Toney Douglas.

And now, Wilson Chandler has became Irritated and Noah wasn't living up to His potential so I Traded them to The Hawks for Al Horford and Josh Smith.
Others I Traded Away Were K.Hinrich and Javal McGee For G. Henderson and a 1st Round Pick.

After Almost 3/4 Of the Season Ended, My Record was 34-23 And T.Evans was on his way To The race of MVP. I am 4th Seed in the West.

Just beat the cavs 116-107.

In the process though injuring deng. My lineup now looks like:

Rose put up an MVP performance and single handedly beat the Cavs. His stat line: 41 pts, 4 reb, 12 ast, 2 stl, 1 blk

Other notables:
Taj: 14 pts, 13 reb
Big sexy: 10 & 10

The Cavs open up the 2011-2012 season with a 115-99 win on the road against the Grizzlies. Rookie big man Enes Kanter led the way with 22 pts 11 reb 2 stl and 1 blk. Number 1 overall pick Kyrie Irving finished with 18 pts 4 reb and 9 ast. next up the OKC Thunder

So I tried controlling all 30 teams, but now it freezes whenever I leave my association. Fantastic.

I keep encountering freezing and glitches in Association mode every time I try, which is disapointing because I love this game.

Only if you want to give 40+ minutes a night to your stars... if you can develop a team you can play with through 10 to 12 players... as long as ya starters are getting 28+ minutes a night (on 12 in quarters) they are happy. Stars you may need to give a bit more... but I play with player roles on and I have even managed to keep 3rd string pg sebastian telfair happy lol I often get the reward bonus for finishing season with greater than 70% chemistry and players all over 70 in morale

granted I have a tendency of winning more than I lose... that would play a role in keeping players happy too. But I personally find player roles one of the great challenges in the game

Cavs improve to 2-0 with a 112-102 win against the Thunder. Managed to hold them to 35% shooting. Kyrie led the way with 25 pts 5 reb 11 ast and 2 stl. Kanter had his way with Perkins finishing with 24 pts on 8/9 shooting 11 reb 3 stl and 1 blk, Norris Cole was the spark plug off the bench with 20 pts and going 5-10 from 3 point land. Up next is my home opener against the Wizards.

There is no reason to turn off player roles unless you only use a 5-6 man squad. I run about 9-10 deep on a regular basis and 11 & 12 are still satisfied. My main rotation is 8 man but 9-12 get minutes when others are having an off night, or due to injury, or if the situation is just more suited for their style of play.

Wow didn't realize Hawes could shoot, that is a good suggestion. I believe I have the cap especially since I will give up Verjow because he won't play off the bench

i would get a defensive center that can play GREAT defense and offensive rebound too since you shoot so many threes

I simmed my next two games and went 2-1. Beating the Wizards and loosing to the Trailblazers. Went into The Garden my next game and lose a tough one to the Knicks 112-101. It was a close game until the 4th when Bill freaking Walkers went on a 3 point rampage on me. Kyrie led the team with 24 pts 3 reb and 11 ast. Thinking about cutting ties with James Posey. He's shooting and amazing 21% from the field and 17% from 3. Decided to pick up Adam Morrison to see what i can get out of him lol

Finally decided to run with the T-Wolves becuz of their young talent. Gonna sim my first season to see where i land in the draft. Any suggestions on how to use Anthony Randolph? Should i use him at C or at PF?
