Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
Plus Krstic is nowhere near Noah in terms of defense as he has average well under a block in his career, def not fitting thibodeau's emphasis on defense. Noah is too important of a piece to Thibodeau's style, and the players you offered do not fit the Bulls style of play.Comment

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
I don't think the question is whether the trade was forced, more was the trade realistic. I have difficulty believing the bulls would ever agree to this trade IRL. Iverson's strength this late in his career would be as a scorer, and a volume scorer at that. Given Tom Thibodeau's focus is on defense and grinding out games, Iverson wouldn't fit into that equation as his defense is on the decline and the worst type of player you want in an offense like the Bulls where there will be less possessions given the focus on defense and a half court offense is a volume scorer who can't pull his weight on defense.

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
The Bulls came to me with the offer of Deng for Ben Gordon. I also traded someone else, can't remember, but we also swapped draft picks and I think I gave them Austin Daye too. Does this seem fair? I have made a lot of moves in my association and when I get home I will post them all.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
I'm playing as the Bobcats in association.
After just 4 games I decided to start Tyrus Thomas and trade Boris Diaw.
CLE receives Boris Diaw, Dominic McGuire
CHA receives J.J. Hickson, Daniel Gibson.

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
I like the trade for you, definitely. Is Diaw's contract expiring? If not, I can't really fathom the Cavs letting Hickson go for Diaw and McGuire. Hickson played real well last year and is on a tear already in the pre-season with LeBron out of the picture. I think it would take a lot more than that to pry him away from the Cavs. Keep in mind last year when the Cavs had a chance to get Amare at the deadline, the impasse they reached was the Cavs refused to include Hickson in any deal for Stat. So if they wouldn't put him in there for Amare, I can't see them doing it for Diaw.
If there's a piece that I'm missing then forget what I said. But as a standalone trade it just doesn't make much sense for the Cavs. It's certainly a good deal for you though. If you threw in a pick or two that would make it closer, but they'd probably ask for at least Diaw, 2 picks, and a better player than McGuire if they're giving up their "future" power forward. Please don't take this as a negative post either. Most guys on here want feedback as to whether or not it's realistic so that's what I'm going by. Sorry to be a Debbie Downer. lol.
Since you've already done the trade, I hope you do well with Hickson, he's really fun to use in this game and outplays his ratings big time.Comment

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
I'll see if I can help you bud.
I'm not sitting in front of the game right now but I can make some suggestions for you and you can see what you'll need to get it done.
PG - Flynn with Ridnour backing him up is good enough
SG - Brewer (if you play him at SG and not SF that is) Wayne Ellington -
I'm not particularly sold on either of those guys. Everyone just keeps waiting for both of them to develop but I really don't think it's ever going to happen. I would package one or both of them plus a second rounder and grab someone that's more consistent. Brewer has solid athleticism and if you really like him keep him, but at least trade Ellington for a better starting or equal backup (equal to Brewer I mean).
SF - Lazar Hayward, Martell Webster, Wes Johnson - They're all decent players, I'm not sure what Lazars potential is but he's probably worth developing, I'm looking at some of his ratings online right now and it appears as though he's a decent shooter right out of the box. Personally this is a position I would upgrade. If you get rid of Ellington you can have Webster and Brewer at the SG. Have Lazar and Wes getting a lot of playing time and subsequent development at the Small Forward spot. Or if you're not really into developing players and want to win now. Then you can get rid of Hayward and package a 1st rounder for a guy like Iguadola or Danny Granger, an "almost" franchise player of that caliber. Would probably cost you a 1st round pick, ellington, and hayward. Plug that into the trade finder and see what you get.
PF - Michael Beasley, Kevin Love - Both of these guys are a real treat to play with, Love is incredibly underrated, can hit from the low post all the way out to the 3 point line (and he's an incredibly accurate 3 point shooter at that). And is one of the best rebounders in the game. Beasley has a big ceiling and could develop into something really special. So I don't think you need to do anything here. You can also experiment with Love at the C and Beasley at the PF spot if you need some offense the combo of both down low should really help you.
C - Darko, Kosta Kofous, Nikola Pekovic, - This position really needs an upgrade, Al Jefferson was not the best defender, but he was much better than these three. Pekovic is an interesting prospect and some friends have told me he's fun to play with and became a solid starting C in their franchises. I would say while he develops though go after a true starting center or a guy like Roy Hibbert, Andray Blache, (he can play the C very well though he's listed as a PF). Javale McGee, Greg Oden, or any other type of player that's not a superstar, but a solid starter. Out of that small list, based on experience with 2k11, Hibbert and Blache are both really, really good. Blatche is a bit better offensively, but Hibbert grabs offensive boards like crazy and gets easy putbacks, not to mention blocks everything as well.
So there, I hope that helps you out in your franchise. If not, it was fun to write.Comment

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
If you still have Wes Johnson, I'd start him at SF. He was just drafted with like the #5 pick in the draft and he's athletic, long, and can shoot it. Beasley would make a very good 6th man I think because he can play SF or PFNFL: Bills
NBA: Bucks
MLB: Cubs
NCAA: Syracuse
Soccer: USMNT/DC United

Of course, this depends on the pieces you give up. I don't see the Pacers realistically parting with big Roy for anything less than KLove or Flynn and a 2 round pick.
Just my 2 cents on the subject.

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
Interesting question, I think you have enough offensive weapons right now that trading for Blatche is unnecessary. Hibbert would be the defensive minded pick who can board and grab some garbage buckets. Kaman is the median between Blatche and Hibbert but easily the eldest of the 3. I'd go with Hibbert, but you really couldn't go wrong.

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
I'd love to hear some opinions on my ultra-defensive Sacramento Kings roster.
G- Tyreke Evans
G- Arron Afflalo
F- Omri Casspi
F- Serge Ibaka
C- Samuel Dalembert
6- Demarcus Cousins
7- Thabo Sefolosha
8- Mike Taylor
9- Donte Greene
10- Marco Belinelli
11- Hassan Whiteside
12- Pooh Jeter
Very young, defensive-orientated roster IMO. Dalembert is my oldest player at 29 and the average age is only 23! So much talent, yet with so much room to improve. Don't think I want to touch this roster any more than I already have, but I would like to know what you guys think about my squad.Look I'm a radical-I don't fit your game. I take it over, cementin' my name in lights. It lasts forever! So don't ya forget that when my name comes up point out I'm a legend- never to be forgotten, all my haters have been forgotten. Get ya popcorn popped cuz I'm a be a soldier til I'm 4ever stopped!

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
If they came to you with the offer than all bets are off. Anything is a "fair" deal if the AI offered it to you. If the AI Heat offered me Lebron James in exchange for Adam Morrison's mustache it is fair enough in my book. It is proposing the unrealistic trades and raping the AI that is unfair. But when the AI bends over and says come and get it that is different.
