Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
Can someone give me some alternative trades that include Rondo, Pierce, and Bass? Can only be up to 2 trades. Doesn't matter if it puts me in win-now mode or a youth movement, as long as it opens up cap space for 2012 FA.Comment

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
I'm not sure how effective any of the trades will be in clearing cap space. Your best bet may be Rondo, Pierce, and Bass for Javale McGee and Rashard Lewis. I would then proceed to trade Lewis for a lower salary. The problem is that McGee only has a year on his contract and will need to be re-signed, or you could just choose not to re-sign him.Comment

Not sure on Rondo/Bass but pierce to LAC for Mo Williams and filler is a fun trade to think about. LAL been pursuing Pierce, only to have him join Paul in other locker room?Support Local Sports

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
What about Rondo/Bass for Eric Gordon, Chris Kaman, swap 1sts, and NOH '12 2nd?
They've been trying to get rid of Gordon/Kaman since they got them, so this trade could finally rid them of Gordon and Kaman while getting back a lot in return.Comment

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
That's what I thought, was just looking some other opinions, thanks. So, now that I made that trade, here is my Celtics starting lineup after one season (one trade before 1st season, simulated season, another trade during draft):
Avery Bradley
Eric Gordon (MVP, and Finals MVP...had GREAT year for me)
Loul Deng
Kevin Garnett
Dwight Howard (had enough cap for him, and I'd assume he'd sign with Boston if we had an All-Star SF and the MVP)
Don't have much of a bench outside JaJuan Johnson and Jermaine O'Neal, but whatever. And if you're wondering where Chris Kaman went, he got hurt during the playoffs and strained his achilles, and I wasn't about to give him $6M/year to ride the bench, so I let him walk. Blessing in disguise, as O'Neal had a lower price tag, and I only had 500k to spare after signing Gordon to an extension and signing Howard.Comment

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
Spurs trade: Tony Parker, DeJuan Blair, Tiago Splitter, '12 1st round pick.
Spurs acquire: Ron Artest, Tyler Hansbrough, A.J Price.
Lakers trade: Steve Blake, Ron Artest, Luke Walton.
Lakers acquire: Tony Parker.
Pacers trade: Tyler Hansbrough, A.J Price.
Pacers acquire: DeJuan Blair, Tiago Splitter, Steve Blake, Luke Walton, '12 1st round pick from Spurs.
Thoughts on the three team trade?
I'm the Spurs and had already signed Aaron Brooks to be the PG. Plus I hate the height Blair brings to the PF position and also thought I'd give Parker to one team that may need him more than others.Football: Manchester United
MLB: Cleveland Indians
NBA: Miami Heat
NFL: Cleveland BrownsComment

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
hey guys I'm running with the 76ers and trying to find a star that I can add to my team I'm willing to give up anyone and even a little extra in order to get a younger star to build around can you think of a trade that I could get a younger guy that can carry a team? I'd like to keep it somewhat realistic but as long as the trade makes sense i'm willing to do it....obviously not getting a Durant but maybe Westbrook or someone along those linesComment
