The jazz are going to be rebuilding for awhile and Hayward is probably a piece they would like to keep but maybe they can find some of that same quality in one of the firsts you are giving up. I liek the trade for you because I think Hayward can become solid if you play multiple seasons and you arent ripping them off either.
Okay cool, didn't want to make a trade without a little reassurance that it was fair. Also, they do have another SF they selected with the #5 pick in my recent off-season in Quincy Miller, so they have a really good, young back-up SF with a lot of potential to replace him, as well as two new young SF's in Ebanks and Parsons. I'm going to go through with this trade now.

Thanks for the response, I appreciate it.

      im the Magic

Magic trade: Gilbert Arenas, JJ Reddick, Jason Richardson & Raptors first round pick

      Bucks Trade: Monta Ellis

I really need a go to scorer alongside Howard, the Bucks get some quality players and a top 5 pick in the draft

      Thoughts?

The Bucks would be getting back a lot of bad contracts, I don't know if that would be worth it to them even with the probable high first-round pick. I don't really think there would be a fair trade for Monta Ellis in which you also give them back bad contracts unless the trade includes both Ryan Anderson and the Raptors 1st-round pick. Also, instead of getting rid of a bunch of smaller yet still bad contracts, just try getting rid of your worst one. Maybe try this?

        Orlando Magic receive:

        Monta Ellis
A contract or two to make the trade work (Drew Gooden, Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, Beno Udrih, Shaun Livingston, etc.).

        Milwaukee Bucks receive:

        Hedo Turkoglu
        Ryan Anderson
        1st-round pick (via the Raptors)

That seems pretty fair to me and would make sense for both sides, at least to some degree, in my opinion. Good luck in whatever you decide to go with.

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread

Alright, I ended up changing the trade I was suggesting earlier in this thread a little to make salaries match so I could successfully complete the trade. Here's how it ended up going.

          Miami Heat receive:

Gordon Hayward (Rated a 73 overall. From the Utah Jazz.)
2013 2nd-round pick via the Orlando Magic (traded in this trade from the Nets, who received this pick in a separate trade from the Orlando Magic at an earlier date).

          Utah Jazz receive:

Myck Kabongo (He was the #28 pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, rated a 63 overall I believe. From the Miami Heat.)
Devin Ebanks (Rated a 66 overall I believe. From the Miami Heat.)
Chandler Parsons (Rated a 65 overall I believe. From the Miami Heat)
1st-round pick via the Golden State Warriors (Top-4 team in the Western Conference. This draft pick was acquired in a separate trade at an earlier date. From the Miami Heat.)
1st-round pick via the Los Angeles Clippers (Currently slated to be a lottery pick, likely to not be in lottery and be somewhere between picks 18-24 though. This draft pick was acquired in a separate trade at an earlier date. From the Miami Heat.)

          New Jersey Nets receive:

Dexter Pittman (Rated a 63 overall I believe. From the Miami Heat.)

There was also some decent free agents available mid-season that I proceeded to sign in Troy Murphy, Metta World Peace, and Malcolm Lee. I only signed them to fill out my roster since the trade decimated my roster to just 12 players. I'm likely to just release Malcolm Lee at a later date, or trade him for a 2nd-round pick or a scrub big-man, because I don't really have a use for him since I'm so stacked on the wings now.

Anyways, my roster now looks like:

          PG: Mario Chalmers/Norris Cole

          SG: Dwyane Wade/Mike Miller/Malcolm Lee (in-season free-agent signing, now in the D-League)

          SF: LeBron James/Shane Batter/Gordon Hayward (in-season trade acquisition, read above)/Metta World Peace (in-season free-agent signing)/James Jones

          PF: Chris Bosh/Udonis Haslem/Troy Murphy (in-season free-agent signing)

C: Spencer Hawes (off-season free-agency period signing for the full mid-level exception)/Joel Anthony

Again, since I am so very stacked on the wings, and a little weak as far as big-man depth goes, I'm likely to release Malcolm Lee or trade him for a second-round pick or a scrub big man. I love to be stacked on the wings though because I love playing small-ball lineups with Chris Bosh, Udonis Haslem, or even, albeit very rarely, LeBron James at center and then play a lot of smaller guys to go with them. It really gets my offense going and keeps it at a good pace and speed this way and spreads the floor dramatically. If LeBron and Wade need space to penetrate, that's the kind of lineup to go to because my shooters and other wings/guards can get hot very quickly from three-point range and sustain that high-percentage shooting throughout most of the entirety of most games.

Anyways, anyone have any thoughts on the trade and my current outlook as the Miami Heat after this trade has been made? Any opinions are welcome and input is welcome and would be appreciated.

          Thanks!

Well put, thanks for the feedback! I was just thinking on the court terms. I guess to me the Jennings-Ellis combo just seems too dysfunctional but i know with that said the Bucks probably still wouldnt want to take in bad contracts even if it sets up their rotation better. Thanks again!

Anyone know of any trades where I would give up DWill or Brook Lopez and get a good young center or SF in return?

Lopez is probably one of the better younger centers in the game. Only ones better are cousins and Bynum.

As for young SF's. Perhaps you can somehow get a guy like Gallinari from the nuggets? Do you have Gerald Wallace? Try to swap Williams, Wallace and filler for Lawson and Gallo plus filler.

Just an idea off the top of my head.

Thoughts on this online association trade?

                  Bobcats (me):
Nick young ( signed 5 year 40 million dollar extension earlier

                  Jazz get:
                  Josh Childress
                  2012 1st round pick ( pick 29)

amazing trade, Nick Young is an excellent scorer and you gave of Childress who has little to no potential and a late first. You win for sure

I think that the Magic are giving up a bit too much in that trade. For me, I think Faried is a better overall player than Tyrus Thomas, and he's younger with more potential too. So to add Morris as well is a bit unfair to the Magic in my opinion, whether it's you or the computer controlling that team. Maybe the Cavaliers can include someone else of value or the Magic can give a little less, such as taking out Morris?

I think that is a pretty fair trade for everyone involved, but the Hornets might be too stacked at the SF position now with Granger, Ariza, and Aminu, all good, young SF's who would need playing time. Maybe a three-way trade in which the Hornets get back a SG would better? Just a suggestion.
