Got the game yesterday, first game played the 63 point one vs. Boston on default settings. My final line was:

72 points, 8 assists, 4 boards, 4 steals, 30-46 from the field, 11-12 from the stripe, 1-2 from downtown.

Won the game by 19. Wasn't difficult at all once Jordan got hot. I was up by so much, Collins actually took MJ out of the game for 2 minutes near the end.

Quick question, will I have to restart my franchise to get the the jordan in it after I beat the challenges? Also, after you beat the challenges can you put all of the old players and/or teams in the franchise mode? I am on the second challenge, but really want to start the franchise

Here are some tips including some downright "cheats".

Up the tempo to 100. This is useful when the challenge is to score X points. (cheat)

Lock onto Jordan, then get open and call for the ball. (semi-cheat)

Personally guard the man you have to stop from scoring. Set double teams for always on that man. Work hard to deny him the ball. (just good strat.)

          Lower the level.

Franchise (which in 2K is called Association) has nothing to do with the Jordan Challenge. Even without completing the challenge you can add classic players to rosters, then start an Association.

You cannot add players from the classic teams once the association begins. It has to be done in the roster screen. Either release the classic player then pick him up from the FA list, or trade. Click on a player, there are the options to release or trade.

Bottom line - before you even complete one challenge you can place classic players onto teams, then start an association.

The only thing the challenges earn you is the right to play Jordan from a 79 rated rookie in the create a legend mode. Also, that mode auto locks you onto Jordan in games. And, as Jordan ages his look changes.

But in general associations you can select to play locked onto Jordan. He will age from the point of the year you added him (i.e. the later Jordans will have short careers in your association.) His look will not change.

has anyone had trouble with the feature where you can "quit and save" and then go back and play from where you left off? I quit and saved in the 1991 lakers finals game and when i went back to play just now I was unable to play because when i loaded it up i could only watch the players and i couldnt control anyone. So basically when i loaded my saved game now i cant control jordan and the bulls, I can only watch both teams play, and cant control anything. Its like its in coach mode or something like that or like the controller is just in the middle and isnt selected to control either team.. I didnt mess with any of the settings or ne thing tho.

Man I was so pissed the first time I tried "The Arrival". I had 61 points, just two shy. Jordan missed at the buzzer, losing me the challenge and the game.

Second try, I blew out the Celtics by 15, and Jordan scored 69.

I just beat the Cavs game on the first try. Felt a lil too easy, but Jordan was a beast, and the Cavs were cold early from the field and couldn't catch up. Scored 70 points.

Does The Jordan Challenge save to your user profile? I turned off auto-save because I hate it and completed "The Arrival" but never saved my user profile after I did it and turned the game back on to find 0/10 completed. So I'm assuming it's saved with your user profile?

I scored 76 points, 6 assists, on 60%+ on my first try.

Started by calling 2 plays... realized quickly plays wouldn't work.

About 4 plays in I realized I couldn't even let anyone score but myself.

Started bombing 3's with Jordan. hit 3 in the first quarter. Ended with 18 to start.

Then it was chaos. Score. Score. SCore. mostly dunks.

It's so hard on sim/allstar, got blown by the Celtics and MJ end up shooting 29%. Still scored like 48 points but wasted around 70 balls lol

The Jordan/Nique Challenge got a little hairy, even on pro. Dominique comes out blazing. Atlanta ran a lot of isolations for him, essentially clearing the lane and letting him operate. He had 17 points in the first half and I had to more or less milk the clock and double team him without the ball in the final 3 minutes of the fourth. He finished with 23.

Just beat the Double Nickel challenge. Finished with 57 points, 11 assists, and exactly 55% shooting. Fittingly, I scored the 55th and 56th on a field goal that brought my percentage to 55% and it was an And 1 play. I went to sub Jordan out after that LOL. But there was no dead ball for the rest of the game, so whenever Jordan had the ball I made sure I passed it and let someone else shoot. Also got the trophy for not allowing a field goal in the last 2 minutes in that game. And John Starks is a beast!!! (On here at least)

Got the Dominique one, that was tough was trailing by 10 most of the game, this being my first ever 2k basketball game, Im still learning, dominique ended with 24 points missed 2 free throws which helped me. I had 36 with jordan.

The only tough part can be getting the required rebounds or stopping drexler from getting 20.
Same here, I've completed the first six. Keeping Drexler under 20 was the hardest thing I've run into. Terry Porter ended up having a KILLER game!!! Lol. For any with the Drexler issue, I doubled him the entire time, had it set to deny ball, and all other Blazer players set to NEVER double team (will make perfect sense next line) Then, I played as the point guard and GAVE Terry Porter the open three every time he came down the court - he took most of them also. If he doesn't take it, he often passes to someone other than Drexler since he is doubled. Drexler STILL ended up with 19 against me.
