I think at some point all of you guys that have busted your asses on this are going to have to come to the realization that 2K is gonna have to patch Association mode to fix the problems. There are too many little issues that add up to become really big problems. There are user "workarounds", but it doesn't seem like they are helping past year 1 or 2.

I really appreciate all of the testing and reporting, and if it weren't for that we might never have these issues brought to 2K's attention so early this year. There was no release day patch, like most games have. 2K has the information now and we need to hold their feet to the fire so to speak about fixing it.

This gives me hope that 2K was waiting for community feedback before sending out a patch. The downside is, we'll probably have to wait a while, probably mid-November, before we get a patch. The positive is, we atleast have the possibility of getting a lot of the association mode problems fixed.

Again, great effort by all the guys here at OS trying to fix the issues, but it's really up to 2K now to do the work on their end.

Not this, They cant mess this up, first off I want to thank the 2k dev team for creating the greatest sports game Eva...But Association mode is the one thing that they had 2 get right.

Im sure you guys remember Live 10( really fun game, great Nba Gameplay) Horrible Association mode(Franchise mode) Made the game totally unplayable for me...You would get scores like 156-124 one game, then the very next game the score would be 66-59, literally WTH is that.

Now people are saying that the home court advantge, and team morale, and trade logic is completely torn. This is a Panic Button type issue 4 me. I haven't personally played Association mode yet but if what people is saying is true then lord help me.

You know what? Now that you mention it I'm seeing some of these issues too.... They going to patch it soon? Anybody know?

Online has really spoiled developers. They know they can release a beta version and send out a patch in a few weeks/months. This happens every year with EA. 2k11 isn't too bad, but seems like they spend all their energy on Jordan mode and gameplay fixes, and completely ignored association.

PC Version - compared to PS3 there are fewer blowouts in the playoffs, and the issue is less prevalent. However, it still exists.

So I noticed that after the 1st year teams do sign FA during preseason, however soon as the season starts the news re-starts for oct 25th. Teams don't sign during the season though. Glad to see it's not totally broken

Ok, I was simming with morale and roles off and with 29 GAMES SEASON, cause I wont play 82 games. AI all the time were proposing me a trade during these 4 seasons. And I saw lots of FA signings.

Try do 29 games length test.

I fail to see how the Trades/FA stuff could be a problem for anyone who isn't literally OCD about this kinda stuff and actually plays his games/the game.

With 12 minutes quarters and 80+ games per season it takes approximately three months to finish a season (unless you play 2k 24/7, that's it), thus, by the time you'll get to actually see the trading system AI shortcomings (S3~S4?) 2k12 will be already out lol.

All of these people bitching no-stop about allegedly "game-breaking" issues afflicting the game or claiming that they won't play til a patch comes out need to chill and go play some fundamentally flawed sports-game such as FIFA 11, PES and the likes cuz I ain't sure you guys realize how good 2k11 truly is.

It's by season 2 the problems are noticed. They just become harder to ignore the more years you advance. Not fair to label anyone OCD, these are pretty large problems if you ask me. Unless you are fine with good players sitting in FA and the computer not trading between each other, which you may be and nothing wrong with that. But I'm not.

You can't also assume everyone plays full 82 game seasons. Some might go for the 29 game option? Some might only play one of the games per week (like me) so while it may take you 3 months to reach into season 2, it won't take me that long. Not because I don't enjoy actually playing the game, but I enjoy the team building aspect of it and seeing how things progress.

If it's in the game, it needs to function correctly. Period. Doesn't matter how people use the game. The game advertises great association AI, and it doesn't deliver. That is basically a big F U you people who bought the game based on that selling point.

If I sold you a car, and I told you that it is a V8 engine and it's actually a V6 - most people wouldn't care as they have no idea what that means or what the difference is....but if you were a car aficionado, you'd be pissed because you realize I just ripped you off.

For those who play less than 82 game seasons, this becomes a big issue for some and needs to be patched.

I'm playing 29 games. The only time I experienced having no trades in a season was starting in the year 2015. Every year before that there are about 10-20 trades a season. FA signing's not a problem at all (I'm in year 2017). There have been about 15 signings each season.
