If I were you guys I would tweak the on ball D and quickness settings. There the main culprits for stopping fastbreaks imo.

As of right now I have the CPU's on ball D @ 45 and my quickness @ 55 and im playin on pro/default. This opened the game a lot for me so theres less bumping goin on during FB situations. Your movement isnt as restricted once you mess with those settings

            Re: Please patch Fast Breaks!!

The one thing I can say that helps get fast breaks is to send your PG/SG/SF streaking down the court once a shot goes up. It's pretty cheesy because you can't really see where you're sending them and often if you keep holding the button he ends up all the way down the court/in the corner and the pass to get it to the player is ultra unrealistic, especially considering there will be at least one player on him (because again, the game reacts way too quickly).... but it is what it is.

Another reason for the lack of fast breaks is the lack of long rebounds. I mean, I doubt it would help fast breaks in THIS game, but they set fast break in motion IRL

I know where you're coming from, I just don't want to effect the game in non fast break situations. The fact that you're playing on pro is also a big part of your success.

                Re: Please patch Fast Breaks!!

I think the main problem is people trying to force the action when it's not really there. With that said, I do admit that the opportunities are not there when they SHOULD be. Funny thing about it is that I think it's related to cherry picking. But I won't start THAT discussion.

That's true but tweaking the sliders should help you out anyways. Especially the quickness one, on Sim the on ball D is set at 70 so increasing the quickness should help counteract the sticky defenders.

It shouldn't effect the rest of the game too much because the other settings are so high. I'm just saying this because I'd hate for the game to be patched when a problem could be fixed with the sliders you know?

will do my current quickness was 0 on ball was 50. I'll try yours. I also made 3pt tendency 60 so they fill wings better and spot up on the break! Also made attack basket 75 for human. Looking a lot better!

WOW...great, great point. Where are all the long rebounds in this game? When I think about the top 5 reasons why the fastbreak in 2k basketball needs help, that has GOT to be in there.

I know that the game is new and fresh and ev'one is excited, i get that. But if people are serious about seeing this game CONTINUE to improve, then discussions with this level of detail need to happen.

Once again, great, great point. When I watch NBA games and see 3-on-1 fastbreaks they often, often happen off long rebounds that are taken in by point guards or other players on the wings.

I took the advice about getting to the elbow quickly, and it helps a lot. I'm playing on pro/sim. Now I'm getting 10-12 fastbreak points/game. Managed some nice 2-1 and 3-1 off rebounds too which was nice. The wing players and even big men will cut, but you have to attack the basket (get up to FT line at leat)

IMO i get breaks at a decent clip on all star, and its not even pushing the ball up the middle. I try and hit the PG at the free throw line then get a good angle and pass it up court., but its always about picking your spots. But if i play with teams like the warriors i'll get the ball to the PG and push the tempo all the time just in case. If i don't have something, back it out.

I'm fine with breaks as they are.
