Stop hitting your heads against a brick wall. If your guys aren't scoring inside then stop passing to them down there. It's a well established fact that your teammates are idiots. It's up to you to save them from themselves. Stop giving them the ball when they're in position to fail. Hearing stuff like that reminds me of playing pickup games with PGs who think it's 2K10 and just gun the ball in the paint every time and expect guys to score on 4 people.

OP,
I am not trying to get on your case but as someone else said, you have conveniently ignored every single post that has been trying to point you into the right direction. But you seem to co-sign the posts that agree with your original thesis. I am not understanding that. Are you simply looking for people to empathize with you only or are you looking for help?
From what I am reading, you don't have a great understanding of the sport of basketball. The things you are complaining about are things that one would know if he knew the game. It is not the game's fault that you did not box out. It is not the game's fault that you are taking jumpshots with someone that isn't a jumpshooter. It is not the game's fault that your teammates miss shots but you are upset and calling it unfair that you can't get assists. That is just not right.
Listen to the people in here who are kissing your butt with agreeance. Listen to those that are trying to tell you how to play the game. The game is not broke, but much like most gamers, if you can't do something right, it is the game's fault.Comment

Re: Whats the deal with My Player???
*I just do this if you need to stop a guy from scoring just play the passing lane 9 times out of 10 they won't pass him the ball you will get a steal
*If you looking to get cheap and fast points and you play as a 2guard or small foward start "cherry picking" (don't go for the defensive rebounds as soon as the defender shoot the ball and you know your teammate is going to get the rebound start running up the court for a fast break.
*Looking to get assist don't force passes. just let the players go through the cuts before passing it to him. Also try driving and dishing the ball out. You also have to notice who is on the floor with you. If you got bums on the floor that might be time where you need to be a scorer.
This mode is fun in nba2k10 this was the only mode I played offline tell i realized i had a clone on another team lol. But I will be playing this tell I get my one on one stick skills back then i will run some team ball gamesComment

Re: Whats the deal with My Player???
Got drafted to the Heat in the 2nd round. A couple of season games in I'm now starting at SG over Mike Miller and I have a rating of 45. I AVG 10pts a game and career high so far is 21. We are 9-0. I plan to get traded after we win the championship. Don't want to be on a team full of superstars. Also I think Wade, Lebron, and Bosh morale is going down since they all have -2 in their ratings, so it's not looking good for me to be their long term.Comment

Re: Whats the deal with My Player???
I've officially given up on my player mode, at least until 2k releases a patch and I see if any of them effects my player mode because it's impossible for me to do anything when I'm facing guys like lebron, carter, pierce on a nightly basis with my 46 overall guy who has the worst defense in the world and it's impossible to improve him if I barely get skill points from my games.Comment

Re: Whats the deal with My Player???
I too was frustrated in the combine and the training camp. It seemed like I was getting docked points for stupid things. But then I learned the nuances of what they are looking for, and it started to make sense. It's not perfect, but if you play as a teammate by setting screens, making good passes and blocking out, and challenging shots appropriately, you'll gain a lot of points. I started out horrible, then during NBA games, I started to get into a rhythm, scoring some points and rebounding.
Then I got cocky and started trying to do too much, and missed a ton of shots and got low teammate scores. I stopped playing like that and decided to play within myself and once again got A+ teammate ratings along with 10 pts and 6 rebounds a game. I'll play my role until I get my skills up. It's actually really rewarding when you do well.
Now, the fact that your team doesn't run plays, that's another story...that's lame. But I can enjoy this mode for now the way it is.Playing:
