Why not? So what if 2 or 3 things didn't make the cut. I'd much rather have a list of things they are ATTEMPTING to fix, and have at least SOMETHING to look forward to. Rather than having nothing at all, and having no clue what they are attempting to work on and fix.

I don't see a problem with them giving us a list of "possible" fixes, and "probable" fixes. That way we don't get our hopes up too high for certain things to be fixed, and have a general idea on what is "probably" going to be fixed. Anything else would be a bonus. My point is, just give us a list! =)

      Re: NBA 2K11 Patch Suggestions

Was there ever any mention of giving us the option to make the Jordan Challenges longer than 8 minutes?

I know they patched in a similar thing with My Player last year, so I don't see why they couldn't in this situation.

Well you and I are in agreement but the fact of the matter is that we won't see a list until it gets submitted and approved. At that point it'll be the list and about a two week window for it to drop...hopefully shorter.

I think they've seen situations where a company releases a list and a few things didn't end up in the end product patch and people blasted them to death about it.

Seems like they follow the tried and true approach of not revealing info until its set in stone to avoid the backlash.

I (like everyone else) want a patch to come out MORE THAN ANYTHING right now...I am NOT going to even start a franchise until it's released...

...good thing "Black Ops" is keeping me busy (in the meantime)

            ...Gentlemen,

...they will give patch details, release it, etc, etc, etc, WHEN THEY ARE READY. Just give it time...

A PATCH isn't something that they can just "whip up in a few weeks and make it downloadable to everyone"...there IS a process....GIVE THEM TIME TO MAKE IT GOOD, SO THEY DON'T HAVE TO PATCH AGAIN!

              Re: NBA 2K11 Patch Suggestions

              * Fast break logic. Players need to run lanes properly and not bee-line to the sidelines. Also, get rid of the cpu catch up speed cheat. It artificially makes the game hard.

*Control. Sometimes I can lead pass my man open, other times he won't move. Other times I'm trying to kick the ball out to a player at the 3pt line and my pass drags my player 5 ft behind it.

Overall fighting the sticks in order to get your players off of the pre-determined path of the cpu.

At times all I'm doing is moving the shot stick and my player starts doing moves and won't shoot. Especially when the shot clock is winding down.

Sometimes I'm moving across the basket 15 ft. away attempting a step back or moving jumper and I end up shooting a lay up. Other times I'm moving directly toward the basket 5 ft away with a wide open lane, my guy will gather his feet a pull up rather than shoot a lay up.

*Suction animations. Mainly on blocks. Some of the canimations are bad. When your players picks the wrong hand to shoot with to ensure they are sucked in to a block.

*Movement. We need to have a button press to just initiate movement. Instead of calling a play. When plays break down, players just stand there. Even when they're a part of the play they really don't make an attempt to get open (mainly on perimeter passes).

*Defensive helplessness once an animation starts. Once a cpu players is in his move you just sort of get bumped back. You can't strip the ball or make the cpu change their shot or bump them off of their path.

Seems like most animations were mo-capped one on one. Double team and the second defender isn't really even there. Has absolutely no effect.

*Proper passes. Cpu picks passes most likely to be intercepted vs passes most likely to be completed.

i had this happen down in the paint, shot clock winding down.

trial and error, i found pulling back on L stick along with R stick movement , got a fairly quick shot off especially in those clock winding down possessions.

You can also shoot with the button once locked into juke mode.

Footwear patches. Include current models not in the game (Zoom Kobe V), pre existing models (older Nike Basketball sneakers, etc.) and models that will be released in the second half of the 2010-11 season (Nike Zoom Kobe VI, Nike KD III, etc.).

Probably to late but I would like to see more optimization to run smoother for the pc version...no matter what config setting you have there are micro stutters...

Like I said in the other thread, they should let us pick what gameplay patch we want to use like on NHL 2011. It would keep everyone happy

                          Re: NBA 2K11 Patch Suggestions

Just in case there is one more:

                          - A realistic turnover engine. To's do not occur realistically as they are almost never the result of a post player or driver losing the handle (i.e. Dwight Howard averaged 3.3, Chris Kaman 2.9, Boozer 2.7, etc.) but instead are created by deflection of passes, steals and bad passes (which does happen, but is not the only way). Adjusting the sliders usually results with the primary ballhandler having 5+ and the rest of the team with 1 or 0. Usage rate and turnovers do go hand in hand, but not to the extent represented in 2k11 and not solely for PG's who throw bad passes. Most "great" players are turning the ball over at least once a game.

Monta Ellis- 3.8 (6th in usage rate)
                          Gilbert Arenas- 3.7
                          Steve Nash- 3.6
Lebron James- 3.4 (second in usage rate)
                          Deron Williams- 3.3
Dwight Howard- 3.3 (48th in usage rate)
Dwayne Wade- 3.3 (led the league in usage rate)
                          Kevin Durant- 3.3

etc. and the list starts getting really diverse.

Ballhandling sliders (even on zero), hands sliders (even on zero), steal sliders (100), etc. do not correct this in 2k11.

                          Also, realistic shot distribution:

09-10 season, per game averages once dropping the highest and lowest and then taking the straight average and averaging the two--
                          (((average w/ high & lows dropped*1.5)+ (straight average*.05))/2))

Inside (only includes dunks [about 14.3% of inside shots are dunks or 4.65% of all shots] , layups and putbacks)- 32.5% of all shots taken are Inside, converted at 60.9%

Close (less than ten feet from the basket, but not dunks, layups or putbacks)- 11.1% of all shots taken are close, converted at 44.1%

                          Mid (from 10-23 ft-- distribution: 9.1% from 10-15 ft @ 39.9 FG%, 24.96% from 16-23 @ 39.5 FG%)- 34.08% of all shots taken are mid-range, converted at 39.7%

Threes- 22.15% of all shots taken are threes, converted at 35.4%

Per Hoopdata.com and 82games.com (for dunks, which unfortunately come from 08-09)

Hoopdata, 82 games, basketball prospectus are great resources and have really good links on their sites.

Also, the end of game urgency and AI needs to be tweaked (I have seen the CPU often run the shot clock down waiting for a play, when losing by 7 w/ 50 seconds left).

Does anyone else thinkg the patch nerfed the SG position? Playcalling extremely hurts this position making it nealry impossible to make an impact game to game. I find it very hard to get touches, rebounds and picks which normally helped with the teammate rating. I wish they would allow us to turn of the play call mode and just free play.

Just get the ball and call for a pick yourself. That's what I'm doing.
