    Well, if b-ball isn't your main sport then yeah, you could get away with playing NBA 2K10 (there are updated rosters on 2K Share) for a few months and then pick up NBA 2K11 when it goes on sale.

    I will say that 2K11 is drastically improved from 2K10:

    -Playbooks. Gives each team its own identity.

    -Star players play like star players.

    -Classic teams.

    -Jordan Mode.

    -Less sliding on the court.

    -Improved Isomotion. Takes a while to learn the controls but once you do, they really open up the game.

    -Improved court spacing.

    -Improved CPU AI. They will punish you if you don't play sound b-ball.

    -Graphics. Player faces look better, colors are brighter and you can see the stitching in the jerseys.

    -Commentary. I think it's even better than last year.

    And then there's stuff like NBA Today and Living Rosters that will really become a factor in 2 weeks.
