I understand what you're saying but as I've stated now several times - the subject post is about people wanting 2K to develop the game in THEIR SINGULAR VISION - a game many have not even completed 50 hours of game time in. Posts of its greatness bordering on idolatry and others as it being a sign of the apocalypse flew up within 72 hours of launch. B/C of THAT repsonse, to everyone's agreement but to small population's dismay - the game was fundamentally changed via a roster update within a week. That's ludicrous! We need to act responsibly with the power we have in the fact that we can steer the direction of the changes made to this game. The "problem" is that people (as you seem to appear from this singular post) want to CONTROL the situation by screaming at the top of their virtual lungs online about a bunch of nothing quite frankly.
Yes, I understand the fact that the devs are intelligent enough to know that patching in a graphic for one court or changing the tint of the Lakers purple is inconsequential to the magintude of handling My Player freezing but they lost a small bit of my confidence in that with 2008 with the world renown "2K8 Super Patch". A game that was really what Simulation mode is now became what's referred to as casual now b/c of THESE VERY FORUMS (and other like it). What happened was something that lead to, in my opinion, the destruction of that title as a 'NBA Simulation".
Innovation will occur naturally - they don't need you nor I to tell them what to do - hence why they are a corporation. They love basketball personally as they've said in countless interviews. Many of the things they do come from us but it's not YOUR game. You're buying THEIR GAME. It's not Burger King. This "sandwich" is for everyone. That's why they give you the groceries and you make the dinner. Yet b/c it's your $60 (which they didn't MAKE you spend) you feel you have the right to DEMAND perfection in a VIDEO GAME. Real basketball as with anything in reality is imperfect. So how are they to meet "your" (figurative) standards in a virtual world for an organic real life game?
Now what they DO need is sales. And if they think that appeasing 8 nine year olds on here who just got the game but can't figure how to avoid getting "bumped" (Pared started the plug war) when they drive then they will lose the 8 adults that appreciate that this is a grown man's game.
The same people on hear that complain about certain events in the game only occuring in certain situations that THEY CONSTRUCTED via difficulty changes, mode changes and the like, are the targets of my post for they already have the tools they need to fix their issue yet choose to abuse the power of the "spoken word" or text in this case.
Instead of people learning and growing, they complain.
Instead of dealing, they complain.
Instead of being patient, they complain.
Instead admitting being stubborn, they complain.
And its about time it stop.
