He also steals the ball on the way down. It's a lob that is thrown. It goes over his head and somehow he jumps up and backwards far enough to steal the ball out of the air. It's just terrible. That's all I can say. It happens maybe once a game.

Re: The Game Is Not Broken, You Are.

Haven't had too many issues myself but I only use icon lead pass to get my players into the right position. At times when dumping into the post I have to be really careful and wait until the post player is ready otherwise it's stolen or goes sailing out of bounds. That's good though as you can't rush passes into the post until they are ready.

Remember though that every player has different pass ratings, defensive awareness ratings, offensive awareness ratings and any other ratings that are taken into account, etc. How many times have you thrown a pass with someone into the paint, watch it go out of bounds or be stolen, pause it and go and see the ratings of all the players involved?

That might be the reason a lot of people turn it over via passing. Gotta be careful passing to a player who has lesser offensive awareness or has Ron Artest guarding him.

I agree with the OP. Game seems just fine if you use the right type of pass. Sometimes quick pass some times direct pass sometime manual pass. Simple as that and knowing which one to use. Just slow down and think at first then it os second nature.

Maybe I am in the minority But I like the passing this year. I will say they are times I throw it to the wrong guy that i intended to throw it to which probably needs tweaking but other than that I like seeing deflections and turnovers. None of my games are horrendous on turnovers and i been playing superstar. For people having problems passing, if you adjust some of the sliders it will fix it. The first couple game i played i turned down deflections, steals and passing lanes by about 5 clicks. As I have gotten better I have since turned them back to default except for passing lanes which is still on 45 i think.

Passing is too easy, not too hard. The full court pass is ridiculous.

But as for trades spin it however you want, there's an issue. 2 or so trades a season after the first season of an association is a problem.

                  LEAD PASSIN GUYS!!!! USE IT!

I struggled at first with this also but with lead passin your problem is fixed. You won't give the d a chance to pick off your pass if you lead your reciever in the right direction.Esp on the perimeter. If you are using this feature correctley and are still haven turnover problems you are just forcin things plain and simple. If you do not know how to do this please ask as im sure it will make your experience a heck of alot better.

Passing is too easy, okay buddy...and I bet later today you're gonna go fishing without a pole as a ginger midget takes pot shots at your abdomen while you sing the abc's backwords and inscribe Shakespeare's macbeth into the sand with your left foot...psh

Me good at dis game...mak me feel good to be good. Passing too easy..
                        me good.

Yeah the passing is manageable and learnable but not very intuitive and definitely not "Sim".

Both these problems are an overreaction to an overreaction.

Don't pass to a guy that's still fighting for his position! I had a lot of out of bounds calls here and during that animation you will not be able to pass to that guy with the regular pass unless you use the icon pass.

the problem with the passing is, yes, if you use lead passing, pass very carefully, intelligently, sure, you can siginficantly cut down the amount of turnovers and stolen passes. I know it works for me. but when you do this, you will only be able to play a slow-pace offense. you ca't play an up tempo, fast-break style offense because this game discourages any sort of passing in traffic and you will get your passes stolen. if any of you use a high octane, fast break based offense like the suns or warriors and you can run and gun with little turnover i would love to hear your tips.

haha... that's what I was thinking...

The passing thing is annoying, but yeah you can work around it. The only problem is that it doesn't seem 'sim.' It's not only that they throw lazy passes, but they constantly make a poor decision as for what pass to do. I think the icon lead pass thing might be cool... but if the computer can play the lanes so well, I'd hope the players would be intelligent enough to make the right pass. So often, they throw it RIGHT TO THE OTHER TEAM. I could see if they made some effort to get it around the guy and it got stolen.

The computer can't even pass well against itself. The fact that the computer can not get by itself or pass well against itself really ruins myplayer where you are only in control of 1 out of 10 players. The CPU can run a scripted play well, but in terms of actually doing something, it seems like they more often turn it over or end up getting blocked... or taking some absurd shot.

No comment on association trades, I haven't played it that far. Still very frustrated every time I pick up the game. Myplayer is fun... but only when you are stat whoring. Every time I've decided "I'm gonna try to win." I find myself saying stuff like WTF ARE YOU DOING and screaming at the TV because the computer always does the stupidest things on offense.

yeah i read it and? I havent had any trouble with "money passes" gettin stolen.Nor the defender bein out of position and makin a superman steal.I wasnt talikn about majority of the posts dude.Im meaning it towards anyone struggling with passin. This game, like actual basketball, is all about movement and seperation. Is it easier to steal a pass from someone standing steal or moving?Obvious answer. So lead passin helps a ton because alot of the time the guy your passin to is just standin still and not moving to the ball.Lead passin fixes this.

As far as fastbreaks go i havent had any trouble with this at all.Maybe cause im usin the grizz and they're loaded with athletes but if i force a turnover i have no trouble at all movin the ball quickley up the court with icon passin for the easy fastbreak that usually ends with an oop or corner three.(lead passin at its finest again)
