I think if you do the LB + Icon to bring up plays for that player then the LS and RS options are to 'cut' and 'player lock'. Not sure off the top of my head though.

You can counter play tight by driving past the defender and pick & rolls. Deny ball can be countered by using Icon Lead Passing and the off-ball cuts feature ehh mentioned (LB + player icon + RS in direction you want player to cut).Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Something I'm struggling with, which I don't know why for the life of me: How do you get one of your teammates to do a Pick and Roll/Pop? Is it LT + LB?#RespectTheCultureComment

Hold for a pick & roll
Hold then tap for a slip
Tap for a pick & pop. (I think?)Comment

So Pick and Pops = Hold LB, wait til player sets the pick then release LB
Pick and Roll = Just hold LB.
I have that correct?#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: ***Offical NBA 2k11 Tips Thread***
The one thing I'm having trouble with is calling quick plays to take advantage of mismatches. For example, if the opposing team's PG gets matched up with Iguodala in transition, I'd like to be able to tell Iggy to post up on the block to take advantage of the mismatch, but I can't seem to figure out how to do it.
One way around is to have a pet post up play in your playbook where the starting SG (if that's Iggy's position) has a post up play then call it using the LB when you get the chance.
Another is to just chuck him the ball and back his *** down.
I stilol can't believe 2k10 didnt have a post/back down button.Comment

Re: ***Offical NBA 2k11 Tips Thread***
I need some help with the pick and roll system. How do you get the guy setting the pick to actually roll to the basket or slip to the basket instead of going back to the 3 point line after setting the pick? This happens to me every time... Duncan would set a pick, then when he's free, instead of slipping to the basket, he goes out to the 3 point line wide open, but obviously he can't make a 3.
I've tried the suggestions above, but I just can't get the player setting the pick to slip... he always goes away from the basket, I guess it's the pick and pop that I'm doing. Can someone explain how to do the slip properly please?Last edited by coolgamer; 10-26-2010, 02:03 AM.Comment

About pick and rolls and such, this seems to be working for me:
Pick and Roll: Hold LB until the icon comes on top of the player's head and/or until he starts approaching you, then release LB
Pick and Pop: Hold LB until the player is setting the pick, then release
Pick and Slip(?): Hold LB until the player starts to approach the PG, then release, then tap LBLast edited by sanghai2; 10-26-2010, 03:04 AM.Comment

Do you have roleplayers/chemistry turned on? If so they're probably upset that they're not getting enough minutes, making too many trades hurts chemistry also.Comment

I'll take a look. I've made no trades so far this season and my starters have also dropped.Comment
