You are forgetting a 3rd reason for adjusting sliders. You play the game (win or lose is irrelevant) and after several games and looking at the stats you realize that it is a sub par representation of basketball. So you alter sliders on both ends to increase the realism.
It goes back to what da czar says. Don't play videogames, play basketball.
Now certainly you can do that with the default sliders, but the outcome will not be as accurate as sliders can be.
Back to your point earlier about winning 37 games is unacceptable (not exceptable, ask your English teacher about the difference) that is a point where we have a fundamental disagreement. You earlier stated that Jordan Crawford is averaging 18 ppg in your association. Talk all you want, but if you are averaging 18 points with Jordan Crawford then something is not right. I would have a problem with that.
I like the challenge of taking a bad team and rebuilding them to turn the team around. But if I could win now, what is the point? I adjust sliders until I find that perfect balance where I can get to the rim with Wall almost at will and where if I try with other guys it is an exercise in futility.
Granted you said it was a double ot game, but looking at your photos of the team stats for that game they look unrealistic. Both teams shooting over 60%? Half of the total points were in the paint? I don't like those numbers.
