No fastbreak is killing the game for me...any tips?

I just played the NBA today game as the warriors against the suns and it was one of the most frustrating games iv ever played. I understand that fast breaks shouldn't happen all the time but the suns would literally have 3-4 defenders waiting for me every time id start a break. Even worse is that almost every D rebound they would get, it would be a perfectly executed break where none of my guys would get back. If any team should be running the break well, it should be the warriors. I play on All star difficulty. Tips / slider suggestion would be awesome.

you can run your fast break slider in coach profile up to 100 ... But it still wont be a real life reflection. 2K11 Fastbreaks just don't happen like they do irl ...

The main problem is that either 2k does not know whatconsist of fastbreak points or they dont know how to implement it right. I see plenty of fastbreaks but they afre just not counted in the game.

            This.

The stat engine just seems to record the big ridiculous passes as FB points.

I blocked Nash on the perimeter, got the ball back, passed to Carney who ran in for an uncontested layup, and when I looked at the game stats, no FB pts.

The only way I can get an open fastbreak is when I play off-ball and deflect passes in the passing lane.

                  all-star its hard to.

I play with some relaxed defense awareness sliders to adjust transistion defense speed. I also play with on ball defense lowered to prevent collisions.

Transistion offense/defense is 2k's biggest area that needs improvement.

What do you set those sliders to?

Def Awareness is basically the players ability to good at defense. The lower the skill, the more they suck.
And this time around in 2k11 they beefed up ALL the players defense skills (Def. Awareness, On-Ball D, and Steals). Which is good to an extent, but its too aggresive. Sometimes when Im on a fastbreak and I go for a lay-up, the defender will morph into this contested animation and ruin the whole thing. Its so dumb and unfair.

Iv been messing around with the sliders and when I turned down the cpu hustle attribute the whole opposing team wasn't sprinting down the court anymore. This creates for much more fast break opportunities that were previously not there. THe only problem now is the lack of teammates cutting to the hoop/stopping at the 3pt line.

Fastbreaks aren't uncontested layups...fastbreaks are literally a rebound with a quick outlet pass and trailers running with you with a mismatch. I get lots of fastbreaks where its 3 on 2 or 4 on 3, you just need to make the right pass to execute it. there's always someone back on def IRL in a fastbreak, unless you get a front court steal.

This. I get them but not as often as some other players around here would like.

They make the game tighter and make you earn every point and everyone is flipping out.

                            LOL.

Make the right pass at the right moment. You only get a spilit second to make the decision. Some games I have 7-8 fast breaks points some games 1-2. I love the variety and unpredictiability of this game.

Yeah I've gotten addicted to my player mode. I used to be a PG and it's awesome that it literally plays like IRL. When you're on the fast break you have to scope out who your running the floor with and their position. I love it.
