Re: Official 2k11 "How to" Question and Answer Thread
I am only able to get consistent success with the flick-flick if I take my thumb off the right stick in between flicks. My technique is to let my thumb slip off the side of the stick and quickly grab the stick for the second flick. Hold left trigger through the entire process and hold the right stick on the second flick.
A cool one to work on in practice mode is the dream shake / rondo turnaround. Run across the key and flick the stick in the opposite direction of your momentum (the opposite direction of the left stick). This does NOT require the rondo layup package and is hard enough that if you get it down you will be pretty good at flick-flicks.I like it the twitter.....Comment

Re: Official 2k11 "How to" Question and Answer Thread
My team has -$17m in cap room, how is this possible? I have a poor understanding of the NBA's salary cap.
When you sign someone you have an option of 5% back or 10% back. What does this mean?Comment

Re: Official 2k11 "How to" Question and Answer Thread
The cap room can happen as a result of signing players that have Bird Rights, which basically means you can sign them even if you're over the cap limit.
The 5% back or 10% back thing changes how much the players get each year. When you change between the two you'll notice that (for example) a player might originally be getting $15 million each year for 3 years and then you change to 10% back and it might be 20 mill year 1 15 mill year 2 and 10 mill year 3.NFL: Bills

Re: Official 2k11 "How to" Question and Answer Thread
Okay, here's a question. Yao wants a new contract, and he's a Bird player. Does that mean if I extend him his new deal doesn't apply to the cap, or it does to the salary cap?
I want to re-sign him, but I also want to go after Chris Paul in free agency. If I extend Yao though with almost any deal it says my 2011-2012 cap room is $6M.Comment

Re: Official 2k11 "How to" Question and Answer Thread
Anybody have any tips on how to get the timing down on free throws and jumpers while playing online? I struggle so much online..EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.Comment

You can go over the cap to sign Yao (or any Bird player you have rights to). to sign Pul or any other free agents you'll need "real" cap room. I'm sure 6 mil won't cut it.Okay, here's a question. I can do all the Euro-Step, Spin move & Hop Step moves with the shot stick into a LAY-UP. I know there is a way to do these moves into a dunk... How the hell do I do them?!?!?! Lol I thought I just hold the R Trigger too!Comment
