Renovate old boring arenas like the nets, bobcats, timberwolves e.t.c into big time arenas that will attract more people.
If you want to design pretty living rooms and make aesthetic changes, perhaps you could play The Sims or Barbie Designer. I don't want them wasting any time on this crap when there are so many gameplay issues to be resolved.

The rest of the stuff you mentioned was fine but I think there's a big difference in what you're looking for in a game and what the NBA 2k team should be designing for the interested basketball fan.

My list is actually pretty simple and could be implemented with just a patch:

-when you first load up NBA2k1 the Lakers-Bulls game has a sick intro, use that intro for playoff gmes.

-get the full halftime show in the game, why this is an NBA Today only mode is beyond me. Like I care whatthe real life Bobcats @ Kings score is. If I cared i'd be watching that game not playing 2k.

-Add in summer league from My Player.

-Also they need to completed overhaul trade logic, computer GM AI but things like would have to wait until the next game.

Not just training camps, but rookie, sophmore, junior (whatever, first 3 years or so player) camps, so that they can work on the one deficiency, or deficiency they have, like most rookies do.

My Biggest thing would be Press Conferences I really enjoyed that extra thing in My Player, after game and then as well after the Draft/Free Agency.

Re: Things that 2k Association mode can add

i have a couple of thoughts:

              - i want the AI to do the development drills and schedule practices too. i don't use either atm because it kind of feels like cheating giving my team an advantage that other teams dont use

              - the post season needs SO much work. like signing free agents (why can't we meet them, get specific requests from them i.e. "i want at least a 3 year deal or i wont sign" and try them out before bidding for them?). as mentioned earlier, the staff resigning should include a lot more staff and their actual functions and the meaning of their attributes should be mapped out clearly and should be observable once you hire them

              - why are the second year detroit pistons, who added no talent to their team in the post season, second in the east in my association? i dont care about stats as much as others, but i think the one stat that does need to be looked at is the most fundamental one, wins and losses.

              - STILL SILHOUETTES IN GAME FOR DRAFTED PLAYERS. WTF, association is rubbish when every played in the game has no face

              - huge upgrade to championship celebration required

              - breakout years/disappointing players are needed. The way i see it, a players rating in 2k11 is based largely on how well they played last season right? It is their most recent indication of talent. well, why cant this be the case for ratings in future years in association. if a player played amazingly but was rated only 75, they shudnt just progress to 77. if they were genuinely one of the best in the league, their rating should be one of the best in the league. i dont know, maybe that doesnt make sense

When you make a trade, you shouldn't have the players on the day you traded. You should be able to play with 8 men or something.

I would like an option to be able to play an association where you can choose to play without players who have injuries before the season starts and they come back when they're supposed to
                  Winning cures all.

As it stands now, winning does not matter in regards to player morale. I can guarantee you if the Celtics weren't winning, there would be problems regarding player roles.

If you are fielding a winning team, players should not see a big dip in morale. Definitely not below a 75 morale.

i am by no means trying to make a fun house but im just saying the word "Association" means to control a team/franchise so we should be able to control every aspect of the franchise's money/players/contracts etc

I think they need to fix the draft. Players are rated too high and most of the centers i see are above 7 ft. Also the draft needs more depth. I agree with the draft combine, but i would love to see an in-depth combine. Like being able to view a persons 40 time (or whatever they do for the running, im not sure on that one), verticle jump, and how many shots they knocked down for the 3pt shooting and such.

This could also help lead to busts, where you might take someone cause they ranked high in the 3pt shooting drill at the combine but they might have just been overachieving that day and really aren't that good of a shooter.
