Re: Player Lock Association Users Thread
I only play using player lock because I don't think controlling all five players is realistic.
In my association I'm controlling PG Jason Williams for the Clippers. I lowered his age to 21 so he doesn't retire but all of his other ratings are basically the same. I did change his passing rating to 99 and his flashy passes tendency to 100 so I could recreate his sic real life passes. Also changed his signature shot to crossed arms, seems to be more realistic than his original signature quick release.
.at lowering his age to 21.

Re: Player Lock Association Users Thread
It's the only way I play anymore. It is so much more fun and more of a challenge playing just one player. I like the PG position. I win against teams I should, most of the time, and I lose to teams I should with some exceptions. My stats are great and I never feel like I'm exploiting the computer. Some players jack up crazy shots every now and then if I pass to the perimeter, but if I keep the ball in my PG's hands and control things I can get a fairly realistic game for a video game. You always get little surprises too when guys rotate the ball perfectly and a computer player bails you out when you need it most. I love this game in this mode. Go Bulls. Rock 2K.Comment

Re: Player Lock Association Users Thread
Started one up today. Created myself as a 6 foot pg with flashy passing, a decent long range jumper and some hops. Then took the clippers, threw out some feelers for Baron Davis and happily traded he and DeAndre Jordan to Chicago for Luol Deng. So, it's me, BG and Deng in LA's new Showtime!Comment

Re: Player Lock Association Users Thread
i actually enjoy both player lock and 5 man for different reasons. for player lock, you can really imagine and immerse in the game. Also you dont have to adjust to different shot jumper types. But when i play as the whole team i can generally make better plays and really get the team chemistry going with better ball movementComment

Re: Player Lock Association Users Thread
All of these trades just happened and since there is no way to do those in my player, i'm gonna start one tomorrow or today, but haven't decided what team to be on. I'll be a 6'3 PG kind of in the john wall mold just not as fast and a better rebounder, so what team should I be? I was gonna join the nets but then they just got d-will, so now I've narrowed it down to these teams: Knicks, Hawks, or denver. help would be good.Comment

Re: Player Lock Association Users Thread
My brother-in-law and I randomly decided to do this last weekend with both of us picking a player we want to be and playing on the same team. We wanted a team that's bad besides our players, so we picked the Kings as our base team and used Cousins and Evans as the pieces we used to trade for guys we wanted to be for our career. I took Rose and he took Mayo (it was an old roster file, Rose is now much better, and Mayo worse).
We only got like two games in. We're going to start over with the newest rosters (whenever they drop) and we'll probably pick the Kings again, or the Nets. Either way, we want to build a team with Wall (me) and Anthony (him) as the core.
Sucks that he lives in Michigan, so we'll only get to play our co-op player lock association when I go home to visit my family.
Our biggest problem was finding a good difficulty. On Pro default we destroy the opposition, on All-Star, we get blown out.Comment

Re: Player Lock Association Users Thread
Can anyone post some good sliders?
I destroy the CPU on Pro. On All-Star, it's better but it seems that the CPU makes every single shot with my teammates sticking them with great D. On the other hand, my teammates miss way too many open looks. Other than that, it plays well. I just want the disparity in shooting to be fair. Either we all make everything, or we all miss everything. I don't want to carry us.Comment

If you can change all of the sliders, I'd recommend Authentic's TNT set in the slider forum. Very balanced set.
If not, I've found that All-Star/Default is the best way to go. On Sim, everyone misses too many shots and on PRO, it's too easy to beat the CPU.
Hope this helps.Currently Playing:
