Another Association Idea..
Last summer when I heard that Chris Bosh would be coming to Miami to team up with D-Wade. I though they could be a dynamic duo (even though Bosh hasn't always shown up this year), but that duo became tainted when Mr. Lebron James decided to take his talents to South beach. I'm thinking about starting an Association with the heat, without Lebron. Any thoughts? Not a Minnesota Fan, but I am still waiting for Minny to bring home a Title... Re: Another Association Idea..
Well I've never liked LeBron, or Chris Bosh but the thing is I really don't think LeBron and D-Wade can play together and maximize their ability because they are so similar players, which is why i would get rid of LeBron. To answer the other question i would probably send him back to Cleveland. Not a Minnesota Fan, but I am still waiting for Minny to bring home a Title... NOT INCLUDING THE LYNXComment

Re: Another Association Idea..
What is your reason for hating Lebron? Its fine if you actually have a reason, but so many people hate him "just because"
Lets face it here...
This dude took less money, to have less of a superstar role, to play for a championship. And his "Decision" helped raise 400k+ for Boys And Girls Club.
I'm so sick of people hating on Lebron for no reason. Hate on Andrew Bynum after last night, not Lebron.
Bron is about to serve up a big sh!tburger for the world to digest. If they go all they way, how many people will hate him then?Comment

Re: Another Association Idea..
People hate LeBron because of what he did to Cleveland. He isn't wrong for leaving but to not inform them a head of time and keep them in suspense with the respect of the world was tacky. That is why people don't like him. Also, the decision can be viewed as a self centered, "I am bigger than the sport" type of event. That is why people have an issue with LeBron.Comment

This is all true, but really Cleveland well not so much Cleveland as Dan Gilbert deserves what they had coming to him, after all the nasty stuff he said about Bron and all he tried to do was win him a championship with a bunch of no ones for 8 years?Comment

Neither LeBron or Chris Bosh took "less money"... They both IN FACT, were signed THEN TRADED because none of them wanted to "take less money" like they said they were going to... All 3 of those clowns down there in South Beach (which, isn't even close to Maimi) are actually all MAX CONTRACT players...
LeBron is egotistical and held the Cavs organization hostage from the day he only signed that 3 year contract instead of signing the Max 6 year contract after his initial rookie deal ended... By him doing that, He left open the idea that he would in fact be leaving in his prime, which, is the reason no big time Free Agent would come to Cleveland to play with him. It was assumed by many, at that point, that in 3 years LeBron would in fact be leaving.
I agree it was his right, as a Free Agent, to go anywhere he wanted, however didn't have to drag Cleveland through the mud when he did it. There have been PLENTY of other big time FA that have left the City that Drafted them, Shaq, comes to mind, but, they did it respectfully and didn't have a 1hr special on ESPN when they did it.
And all this crap about the Boys and Girls club, gimmie a break... Don't forget that LeBron, at the same time of "The Decision" was also launching a brand new Webstie, which would be benefiting from the Media circus that was the decision...Comment

Re: Another Association Idea..
Remember though, when the playoffs first started, EVERY SINGLE NBA Personality on ESPN and TNT picked the Cavs to win it all. Remeber the reason why they didn't win? It wasn't because the "supporting cast" wasn't good enough, beacuse they were plenty good enough all season long... Its because LeBron didn't play like he played all year. He didn't play like the MVP... He played like he was scared... LeBeon doesn't have that killer mentality that Michael, Magic, and Kobe have... He chokes in the clutch and always misses that last shot. Many times it appears as if he doesn't even want the last shot...
He is "robin" not "batman" as they say. Now that he has DWade to do his 4th qrt dirty work, I'm sure he's happy that its no longer on him to lead the team and come up big in the clutch.
The Cavliers will be fine. With an owner like Dan Gilbert, that cares so much, this team will be back on top in no time. Look at the Mavericks. Mark Cuban is the same way, and he's doing alright in Dallas.Comment

Re: Another Association Idea..
i think it would be fun to send lebron to one of the locations people thought were an option before he announced. send him to the knicks, nets or bulls just to see how things could have played out differently.
as people mentioned before, i'm ok with him leaving, its just the way he did it that irked me.myplayer:
(1)5'10 PG, drafted 2nd round by the knicks. moved to the clippers in season 2
(2)7'5 C, drafted 26th in 1st round by Thunder. After winning the championship with the Thunder, I signed with the Chicago Bulls
NBA - Magic, Kings
NFL - 49ersComment

Re: Another Association Idea..
Don't forget, when LeBron was playing like the MVP that everyone hyped him up to be. Him and that "bunch of no ones" as you say, had THE BEST record in the NBA for 2 consecutive seasons.... 66-16, 61-21... It wasn't until LebRon bassically quit or choked or whatever you wanna say in the Playoffs that people start questioning if that team was "good enough" to win it all...

I don't see how you can make that argument, lebron was the cavs, end of story, don't believe me just go look at there record this season and tell me bron wasn't there whole team. Choke? i dunno about that, his numbers disagree, these are his numbers in his last series with Cleveland vs Orlando
gm1:49pts/ d. west misses an open 3 to lose game in final secs.
gm2:35/ james hits game winning shot
gm3:41/mo Williams, Delonte West and Zydrunas Ilgauskas shot a combined 13-of-37.
gm4:44/ mo williams missed 10 of 15 shots, Big z gave up 10 pts to howard in OT
gm5:38/James scored 21 points in the second half - 17 in the fourth quarter
gm6:25/ Orlando dropped 12 3-pointers, Cavs stoped playing D
Don't know why there's all this bad talk about bron bron but im not really a big fan of his but i just wanted to set things straight, Lebron was Cleveland and they couldn't put good enough talent around him to win the big one so he found some where that would. As far as the record thing goes just look at the Spurs this year, what a wash.Last edited by ROSStafarian; 05-10-2011, 10:48 AM.Comment

Nobody was talking about the Orlando Series 2 years ago. But you bringing up the Z gave up 10pts to DHoward in OT is a ridiculous argument... I mean c'mon, everyone knows Howard is Top 10 player in the league, of course he did that to Big Z... But I Agree, in that series, LeBron tore it up. I'm talking about last years playoffs vs the Celtics... During that series it became apparent that his "decision" had already been made... It was "too hard" for him and he simply could NOT do it even with the best team in the league for 2 consecutive seasons...
Like I said before, LeBron is a great "talent" but he doesn't have that "killer" mentality that puts Kobe, MJ on another level. He needs another guy to "take the big shot" as they say. You can't argue that fact.
If you don't believe me, check ou LeBron's "clutch" number in this year playoffs, WITH DWADE on his team...
The numbers don't lie. This guy doesn't have "it". If they ever win it down in Miami, he wont be the reason why.
LeBron's legacy will FOREVER be tarnished in mine and many peoples minds no matter how many titles they win in Miami. All this time everyone was hyping him as "the next MJ" but in reality, this guy has been Scottie Pippen all along.Comment

Re: Another Association Idea..
Also, this past Cavs season is a wash...
The Cavs were decimated by injuries from the jump, Mo Williams, Andy Varejou, Antwan Jamison among others...
I Mo, Andy and Antwan had played all year like the previous years with LeBron this team would have contended for the 8th spot in the playoffs. Which, isn't saying much, but, by no means are they as bad as this season made them look.Comment

Then you turn around in your post and say that as a FREE AGENT he can go wherever he wanted? You make no sense.
Oh, it wasn't that other free agents didn't sign in Cleveland to play with him because he only signed a 3 year extension originally. IT'S BECAUSE IT'S CLEVELAND AND CLEVELAND SUCKS. No star player would want to live there.Comment
