91 warriors lakers game 2 ecsf game will be airing on nba tv next week. awesome news that 91 gsw is in. still can't believe nellie traded richmond for billy owens, then traded webber a few years later. franchise had one winning season since webber trade (2007)

Yep, one of my favorite games to watch. An unconscious Chris Mullin is insane NBA basketball to watch. It gets real at the 8:35 mark. That's how you go for a 2-for-1.

As thrilled as I was for the announcement of the 91 Warriors and even more so for the 01 Kings, I really want the return of the All Decade teams, but this time with 00's East and 00's West added.

I doubt they'll add any full teams from before the 80s, but if they'd throw the All Decade crews in, we'd be able to welcome Mikan, Cousy, the Big O, Wilt, Russell, Pistol Pete, Baylor, Havlicek, and all those great classic players back to the game in full licensed form. If nothing else, they make for some entertaining exhibition/streetball players, but I'd be thrilled to add them into the Association to hype up the current NBA rosters, making for some formidible opposition for my Bulls.

Will the DLC teams come with the old school arenas? Specific arena sounds?

          thats worth the money IMO...

Yeah, really curious about that one myself. I'm hopeful they'd include floor art at least. I feel like that'd be a safe bet. The actual arenas would be a surprise though. I feel like it could be similar to last year, where Chicago Stadium and The Forum made the cut, but the rest of the arenas (Atlanta, Cleveland, Seattle) were generic but with the authentic floor art. And I'd be okay with that. At least with '02 Sacramento they'd be able to use Arco and the '91 Warriors would still be able to use Oakland Coliseum (or Oracle as it's known now).

It's time for some early VC Raptors teams........99/00 (with TMac) or 2000-2001 (no TMac, but this was the team that lost to Philly in the 2001 EC semi finals "Game 7 - VC missed the buzzer beater while earlier in the day attended his graduation at NC).

Actually, while I'm hoping / expecting more classic teams, I really hope that we can use these teams online for ranked and unranked games.

I've been begging for this for two years now!

Funny because that game was in my VCR two days ago (yes, VCR). Funny to hear how big of a deal they made Vince's graduation issue to be. Anyway, definitely a lot of fun to use the classic VC/T-Mac connection the '00 XBox roster. Obviously it's not perfect, with a created Doug Christie and Antonio Davis, but VC and McGrady are right on the money.

Well, the Warriors felt they needed to add some size to their squad (and Richmond was slowly feeling overshadowed by the blossoming of Marciulonis and Elie) and since Billy Owens refused to sign with the team that drafted him, the Kings, the deal went down with both sides happy; despite being a giveaway from the Warriors.
Only respectable people deserve respect, you destroyed the game.

Glad to see I'm not the only one on planet Earth that remembers that. You would think he was living the American dream--go to graduation, then play in an NBA playoff game. I hate to play the race card but it needs to be said: you would think people would be happy that a young African American male went back to school to earn his degree, but all they did was criticize Carter to no end. There was absolutely no justification in the criticism either. I mean you have a playoff game--are you just supposed to sit around ALL afternoon and watch game tape or shoot jumpers ALL afternoon in the gym? Geez...let me stop.

I'm with you 100%. I do think he missed a practice the night before, but I think it was more or less a shootaround. I thought it should have been a great moment, a teaching point for youngsters throughout the nation, that education is something to be valued, regardless of one's position in life. It wasn't like he wouldn't receive his degree had he not attended the ceremony, but I viewed his attendance as a platform for showcasing "the right thing". Now if he skipped Game 7 for his graduation. . .then I think we could discuss the whole idea of "well the Raptors are paying him millions of dollars to play Game 7 so. . ."

But he didn't skip. He was there, he shot 6-18 from the field. But then again, Allen Iverson shot 8-27. Maybe Iverson should have attended a graduation to shake things up a bit. Vince's final statline: 20pts, 9ast, 7reb. The graduation was a non-issue made into a ridiculous one. Lastly, I know there's a lot of Iverson fans here, but I really wish Vince would have hit that final shot.

And if I'm not mistaken, that final shot looked good at the release. I was so upset, not at that, but the criticism he took. Forget that I'm a UNC fan--I'm an African American male who graduated from (an SEC) college and to this day I remember the smile on Vince's face when he graduated--and I was proud as well. Sucks that sportscasters didn't share my feelings.

Sorry for the rant. I will get on topic once I find a classic team to talk about.

Did you just say VCR....? Man I got rid of all my tapes. I transfered everything to DVD's and then after a fews years I changed everything to data. What happens to you. I still have a few tapes of other stuff laying around. But I don't know if I would dare watch them lol.

Ha, yeah. The VCR to DVD transfer thing I have only works in real time, which means it's a whole to-do and would take hours upon hours to get everything moved over. I used to tape everything. Also, I got rid of my cable, so lots of times for entertainment while I eat or something, I'll pull a random VHS and watch it on my DVD/VCR combo piece. A lot of good stuff. A lot of games from the last fifteen years (and every All-Star Weekend from 1995-2009).

Yea I know what you mean. It did take a long *** time to convert everything over. But man... It was worth it. But I lost a few games during the DVD stage. A lot of the DVD's would get missed up in some way. But recently I just been downloading the games that got missed up. Everything is on the web.

There is only one game that I can't find on the web. I had the whole game at one time. LeBron James first NBA game vs the Kings. The live version of the game is missing a huge part of the first quarter (because of the Knick game before goes into OT). I can't find that game for the life of me.
