Is Online Associations with CPU teams confirmed yet? This feature will not only lock up my purchase, but at least 3 other people in my world. We're not even big NBA fans...

no I belive its just User vs user...
Why would you want online associations with CPU when you can just play offline against the cpu especially how bad the 2k servers are.

I'm an automatic customer regardless of what they do, although for the last few years I've gotten the game free (and early), so I guess I don't count.

But yeah, 2K is killing it in basketball; if you like bball, no reason not to get the game.

Create a Player Kinect facemapping. All these systems have a camera, let us take our picture so we can slap onto our created players. Then let us grab any hairstyle from any NBA player and put on them. I don't get why the latter hasn't been in previous versions it seems like such a logical feature instead of those sloppy hairstyles they create just for CAP.

Oh yea Spectator mode would be crack.

I'd buy the game if they fixed their player speed. Derrick Rose can only run a 3/4 court sprint in 3.4 seconds in the game, while IRL he's running it in 3.05s.

I gotta agree.

Waiting for your next league game wouldn't seem so bad if you could spectate a current game while still accepting challenges for your next game. That would be awesome, also if you could give feedback or somehow show the users that you are watching the game.

This mind sound kind of silly, but honestly, a far more robust Create-a-Player feature.

One of my favorite aspects in playing 2k is the ability to create players, customize entire draft classes, and see how their careers play out.

I love seeing a lot of variety between my creations - it's my chance to play basketball and be creative at the same time.

I know I'm definitely in the minority here, but adding a far more diverse look between created players is my highest priority.

mine are easy, same every year:

* co-op association over online. so me and my brother can play together player locked on the same team against the AI, battling towards the playoffs etc.

* custom sliders in My Player

I'd pay $100 for a version of 2k12 that had both of these!

My prefence is play an association with friends. If you ever played NCAA, you would understand what I mean.

The thought is that, say you have 4 of your close buddies and you want to play in a NBA season...

before you could only play in an "online league" and it had to be in 4,8,10,12,etc player counts... well you and your 4 friends have to go find another 3 players to even it out to 8, and you have to keep everyone around or else the league cannot continue without 8 members. my group of friends had this happen, we had 10 teams and made it through "week 1" until 1 guy had to quit due to work travel and another guy decided to not continue his xbl gold membership... our league died.

it'd be nice to have a real NBA season where you and your 4 buddies can play a season or X # of seasons, with contracts, trades, free agents, injuries, stats and whatnot. if you play the knicks(cpu team) you don't play "online" you play against the offline knicks and your game results are uploaded to the "online association" server. if you play buddy X today then and only then are you playing an "online match" and the game's results are loaded to the "online association" server upon completion.

Madden has a very basic "online season" mode, NCAA football has a massive "online dynasty" mode where you can have 12 users and the server tracks everything. even including an online web browser so you can recruit, manage roster, view uploaded videos and pictures from games and create "news stories" based of the game results. (this years was a bit buggy, but the intention is massively great).

if NBA2k12's online association allows from CPU controlled teams then i know my 9 buddies and I are starting an "online association" asap.

They added a better Team AI in MP. But I was gonna buy it no matter what.

Customized Rosters/Draft Classes in an Online Association

Could you imagine starting an Online Association in the 80s and working your way up?

This would be the greatest mode in Gaming History
