I do not have a code myself but i am sure that they ARE console specific. Because i have tried that with other games and it has not worked (specifically Smackdown Vs Raw Bret Hart code). I think these codes work in the way that any other DLC does, so when you use the PS3 you are still downloading your content from PSN not 2k directly even though you're doing it from the in game menu(same applies for 360). I hope this helps but then again you can always contact 2k customer support.

P.S. and hey, if the code doesn't work then i'd be happy to take it (Just PM me).

lol i just called 2k customer support and they said that they have been getting tons of calls about this. That because so many people are trying to put codes in the it is basically overwhelming the servers and thus causing that message to come up. But im thinking to myself if its a server being overwhelmed problem shouldnt it accept the code but not validate it instead of saying it was invalid?? I already knew they were going to tell me I would have to keep trying it which he did but it was worth calling. IDK, I just know 2k outsourced their customer service jobs like every other company is doing so i know he is reading off a script.

O he also said that the codes are not console specific. They all have the same amount of numbers in them

I am a huge fan of Kings in early 2000's and warriors in early 90's.

I preordered the game and it came with no DLC code.

If anyone has a spare DLC code to give away, please PM me.

if you pre-ordered the game (PS3), the card/code is inside the box..

also when entering the code, you must enter case sensitive along with the -'s

ie: ABCDE-FGHIJ-KLM... etc it works, mine did

On the 360 I had to enter the dashes but it was not case sensitive.

Nope. That wasn't the case for me. I'm not blind. If the code was included in the case/box or written on the receipt or whatever, I wouldn't have come here asking for mercy.

This is a widely-known problem that there are quite a few ppl who preordered the game but didn't receive their DLC codes. It doesn't matter if you bought from Bestbuys, Gamestop, EB games, Amazon, Kmart, etc. There are ppl who got DLCs and there are ppl who haven't.

On the 360 I had to enter the dashes but it was not case sensitive.

well i didnt try not capitalizing it but just to be sure to those who were having problems i threw that in there

I got the game with the Jordan cover yesterday from my local EB Games and didn't receive the codes. I pre-ordered the game about 2-3 weeks ago specifically for these codes.

Why weren't these two teams included in the game from the start anyway, so customers would be spared this bs?

First off, the code promotion was a GameStop Exclusive, per GameStop employees that I frequently go to. I'm not sure if EB games is still affiliated with GameStop and thus would participate in the promo too, but it was SUPPOSED to be a GameStop thing.

How it works is, GameStop has SPECIAL copies that they sell (In the GameStop I went to, they were hidden) to the guys who preordered. People probably didn't (or accidentally did) get them because an employee was just grabbing copies, possibly running out for some guys who reserved.

I don't think it's a Jordan cover thing. The EB Games just probably sold them unknowingly, and ran out.

Ended up getting the Jordan cover from Target and it had no code in it.

Getting the code was a huge reason I bought the game since I'm a massive Sacramento King fan - I really wanted to play with our 01-02 team

If anybody has a code they're not interested in using, I'd be more than grateful.

Here in the Netherlands we are lucky, a internet website offered pre-ordererd bonusses (the codes) and a local game shop had the codes as well. The guy had a few cards in a ziplock bag that says: you bought the game early, that's why you receive two bonus teams with the logos and everything. Looks cool

I don't know about this whole Gamestop exclusive thing, but my PS3 preorder was from Gamestop, and yes the code/card was inside the box and yes it did work..

ironically, I pre-ordered the day before because i went on a monday thinking it was released already, lol it wasn't so since i was there i ordered it.. pre-order the day before release, lol!!

honestly i don't care about the warriors/kings but am glad i got it if for nothin else, the Warriors has Chris Mullin and Tim "utep 2step" Hardaway (that's real oldschool if you got the utep 2step reference)

No it is not!!!!!!!!!!!

The code is suppose to be in the first batch of release day games for any big chain store.

I got my copy from Amazon with the code and on Amazon they stated the code would be in the game.

I know people who got the game by just walking into a Best Buy and got the code

To me those that got no code were people that went to a store that had packages of games that were meant for after first or second week release which has no code since they were not intended for pre sale

Its the only logical thing. To many people with no code to be just a random thing.


Gamestop has no clue about anything.

They told my friend that he could not get magic or bird because it was for pre orders only and that those contained codes and not the jordan cover

My friend was bummed but bought the Jordan cover and got home to find the codes inside.

I know some people who preordered at Gamestop, ended up getting no DLC code for Kings and Warriors. It is 2K's fault for not supplying enough DLC codes for pre-ordered copies.

What 2k need to do is come out with teams for DLC .... then I'll be happy.
