NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread

Started season 3 for my athletic defensive team, we beat the Warriors in the finals 4-2( Kobe destroyed me, he had no help.) I used my MLE to sign Ramon Sessions and traded him for PF/C Larry Sanders, very athletic, rebounds, defends and can score(mainly dunks and jumper.) Improved on Derozan's defense, Leonards ball handling, Hill ball handling, and Dwight's post game. Right now Im 13-2, 105PPG, 94 PPG allowed. Top offense and 2nd best defense. We lead league in STLs and BLKs, and 3PT shooting(38%).

The young athletic teams are my fav because of their dunks

PG Kemba Walker - quick fast scorer, intiate the offense and BE A LEADER

SG Gerald Henderson - MR POSTERIZE, ATHLETIC ABILITY THROUGH THE ROOF, as the season progresses and we work on his jump shot more he will become a OFFENSIVE BEAST in the league

SF Corey Maggette - VET looking to be a leader on the team, nice jumper and good defense

PF Byron Mullens - 7 footer with nice touch around the rim and nice jumpshot, a mismatch for most power forwards in the league

C Bismack Biyombo - ATHLETICISM(MAX), rebounds and blocks, anything on offense is extra

PG DJ Augustin - 6th man, speedy and quick, nice jumpshot, good at getting to the free throw line

I just started YET ANOTHER off-line association, but this time I'm going to try my best to get thru at least one season. I'm using RedLogic's sliders and I forget the guy's name of the rosters, but they seem really legit. Anyways, I wanted to use the Bobcats and have Dwight Howard (in year one) and after trading for him failed, I decided to start a draft league and here is my team.

PG - Udrih/CJ Watson
SG - M.Brooks/Stuckey/Neal
SF - Korver/Novak/Greene
PF - Dwight/Cook
C - Bogut/McGee

My top 3 picks were: 1. Dwight, 2. Bogut and 3. McGee. I had to let the league know I won't be having any MIAMI/OKC funny business in the paint!

Thoughts on my team?

P.S., I passed on Hibbert for McGee, smart move?

So Jameer Nelson tore his hamstring during a simulation game against Portland, and is gonna be out for about 2 months. So I made a move to bring in Baron Davis to handle the starting PG duties while Nelson is out, as I don't trust Peyton Siva or Eddie House. I traded away Chris Andersen and a 2014 2nd round pick for Davis. To fill the spot that Andersen's trade vacated, I went out and re-signed Kwame Brown to the league minimum.

My current Magic roster is as follows:

Hello folks coming to you ONCE AGAIN with my NBA 2k12 Association journey. Being that Im a Louisiana native, what better team to rebuild than our own New Orleans Hornets. I was approached by new owner Tom Benson to be Vice GM and handle the running of the team.

I had a sit down with Monty Williams and I like the outlook he has for our franchise. He wants to continue to coach these guys and get us to GREATNESS(a word rarely if ever associated with New Orleans basketball)

It feels good knowing that we have an owner that is willing to spend the money to get the team where it needs to be.

Our roster is OK at the moment.

Through our first 3 games we are 1-2. Im really not comfortable with Jarrett Jack running point.(no disrespect) Call me crazy but im looking at making a trade for Johnny Flynn. We really like his athleticism and flair he brings to the game. It would give Eric Gordon a nice complimentary piece in the backcourt. We noticed that Johnny Flynn has been bounced around the NBA now on his 3rd team and hasnt really been given a chance. We looked at Jeremy Lin which could also fit but realized that Flynn will be coming in with a chip on his shoulder and something to prove whereas Lin already has taken his spot in the league.

1st game - Chicago 76 @ New Orleans 83
First game of the season and the arena was LIVE. Eric Gordon came out and showed that he was going to be our leader finishing with 32 against one of the leagues toughest defensive teams. Aminu finished with 13 and 9 boards-I like his style of play. We held D Rose to 11 points O_O lol

2nd game - New Orleans 102 @ Sacramento 110
This game should have been ours. We lead the entire way up until the 4th. This is where the frustration with Jack starts up. He cant seem to hit the open 3 for anything and on top of that he kept losing Jimmer which is how they took control of the game. Tyreke went down due to an Ankle sprain which had me all smiles until their rookie stepped up and went 3-3 in a stretch we couldnt bounce back from. EG finished with 25

3rd game - N.O. 94 - LAL 103
Kobe Bryant was hitting EVERYTHING. he hit us up for 37. MWP had 23(WOW). EG had 32. The first line of this summary really says it all.

I just couldn't do it. To unrealistic for my tastes. I just started a new franchise with updated rosters. I'm using my Hornets. First order of business was to trade Gordon, because I hate his release and he has no mid-range game. My first target was Reke, but Sac wanted to rape me for him, so I then thought, how about trading for a "pg" and letting Rivers start at the 2. So, it just so has it I'm having nice success with a certain, now 'new Hornet' in my online franchise -- whose my leading scorer -- Brandon Knight. Here was the deal ...
