Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread
Currently sitting at 4-2. here's how my past 4 games have looked. I play 2 games and then sim 2 games
W Pacers 98-92(simulated)
L Rockets 98-96(simulated)
L Heat 93-82
W Pistons 101-80
In the game against the Heat i was up by 20+ points through the first 3 quarters but Wade killed me during the whole 4th period. Lebron went down with a broken ankle in the 3rd. Got outscored 31-11 in the 4th. Played like trash. the only bright spot was DeMar who had 31 points on 15-18 shooting.
In the next game against the Pistons i led from the get go. But during the blowout Derrick Williams (Back Strain) Greg Oden(Bruised Sternum) and Antonio Daniels(Twisted Ankle) went out with injuries. Daniels is day-to-day, Oden is out 1-2 weeks and Williams is out 1-2 weeks. DeMar led the way again pouring in 29 points on 11-18 shooting and 2 blocks.
For depth i went out and signed PG Sherron Collins and C Nenad Kristic
Next two games are @Pacers and a home game against the Grizzlies.Last edited by TN3LL; 11-04-2011, 09:43 PM.Comment

In my Rockets association I made a trade this trade:
Rockets traded:
Chuck Hayes, 2012 and 2013 2nd round picks, and Jonny Flynn
To
Timberwolves for:
Kevin Love, Nikola Pekovic, and 2013 1st round pick.
Hopefully Kevin Love will sign a contract extension with us. But I was shock that the Timberwolves wanted to do this trade in the trade finder. Hopefully this trade will get my 3-5 Rockets back on the right path. My roster look like this now after the trade.
Starting 5:
Pg- Kyle Lowry
Sg- Kevin Martin
Sf- Terrence Williams
Pf- Luis Scola
C- Kevin Love
Bench
Goran Dragic, PG
Courtney Lee, SG
Chase Budinger, SF
Patrick Patterson, PF
Donatas Motiejunas, C
Jordan Hill, PF
Marcus Morris, PF
Res
Chandler Parsons, SF
Nikola Pekovic, C

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread
My team has always been the Bulls, but there going to be set for years now.. So I was thinking I should start with a new team that needs help ( The best association I ever had was when Rose was a rookie ) I'm from Chicago but live in Minnesota now so perhaps the T-Wolves? I want a team that lacks a star player though.Comment

they don't have a star (yet), Beasley is not a star imnho
Ricky Rubio is a rookie so that's your roseComment

You wouldn't have as much fun with Rubio because Rose was so much better in his rookie yearComment

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread
1st round picks are meaningless to me if you're getting a star like Howard for it
even if those '11 and '12 1st rounders end up being the 1st overall picks, IT IS STILL not an even trade for getting someone like Dwight Howard
'11 1st overall = yawn, boring, takes 2 years minimum to rival Dwight's value
'12 1st overall = yawn, boring, takes 3 years minimum to rival Dwight's value
basically, you'll be getting a guaranteed Star foundation piece right now to bolster your team *AND* still have Free Agency to shop for players in
1st round picks imo are worth it 3,4,5 years down the line
anytime you get a STAR and you're letting your 1st round picks go, it's a steal
......it's why in real life you'd never see LeBron James get traded for multiple 1st round picks
a bonafied star is by far more valuable than any pickComment

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread
So I decided to start an assoc with the 76ers, and made a bunch of trades to get the team I wanted...but 3 games in I just had the best game I've had on 2k12..against the Magic, a ridiculous number of lead changes throughout the game, until the end of the 4th the highest lead was 6 points by Orlando...but ended up taking it 111-104...just an awesome gameComment

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread
WEEK 5 UPDATE
(Like how I melded two potential posts together?)
GAME 15
The Jazz played the Pacers, and after a dismal week last week, it's a nice breath of fresh air to win, 94-88, after a bad start to the game, a 33-18 3rd quarter helped win the game for the Jazz.
Stephen Jackson performed well, with 18 points and 5 assists, and Paul Millsap was one point away from a double-double. Ersan Ilyasova also scored 9 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 12 minutes on the court. Jared Dudley didn't really show his skills in this game, only taking 2 shot attempts, and making them both, he had 5 points and 6 rebounds.
Dahntay Jones had 26 points for the Pacers, with Tyler Hansbrough adding a double-double to the team with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Roy Hibbert also was close to a double-double with 11 points and 9 rebounds. Danny Granger only had 9 points out of 12 attempts, only making 2 of his attempts.
GAME 16
The Lakers were the next game on the Jazz schedule, and I was surprised at how badly the Lakers were annihilated by the Jazz. The Lakers for the most part underestimated this new-look Jazz team. only Kobe Bryant, Lamar Odom, Andrew Bynum, Ron Artest, and Devin Ebanks really produced in this game for the Lakers. The Jazz, needless to say, beat down the Lakers which is the result of an 11 point second quarter for the Lakers, and a 31-15 scoring 4th quarter giving the Jazz a commanding 98-73 win. (Yeah, I was surprised too.)
Al Jefferson had 18 points and 12 rebounds for the Jazz, also adding on two blocks. Paul Millsap had 17 points and 7 rebounds, and Jared Dudley had 15 points and 6 rebounds on 8, he took 8 shot attempts and made 6 of them. Stephen Jackson had a bad night, with 5 turnovers and of thirteen shot attempts, only two were made.
Kobe Bryant had 23 points, 5 assists, and 4 steals, and even had a block in there as well. Andrew Bynum had 8 points and 10 rebounds but shot poorly throughout the game. Devin Ebanks also scored 6 points and had a steal in only 8 minutes of gametime. Ron Artest and Lamar Odom also contributed, but no one else did.
Now, for an awesome game of 2k12
GAME 17
Jazz were up against the Spurs, and since the Spurs just recently traded Tony Parker, their chemistry wasn't perfect yet, leading the Jazz to a 118-113 win. Almost everyone produced for both teams, and the game went back and forth, and it was just a fun game to have.
Paul Millsap had 24 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 steals, while Al Jefferson had 18 points, 9 rebounds, with 2 steals and 4 blocks as well. Jared Dudley almost had a double-double as well, with 17 points and 9 rebounds. Devin Harris also had an MVP performance of 14 points, 18 assists and 6 steals in this game. The only player for both sides who really underperformed was, surprise surprise, Deshawn Stevenson, with only 2 points and 3 rebounds while only making one of his five shot attempts.
Manu Ginobli scored 29 points and had 3 steals. Dejaun Blair and Tim Duncan both had double-doubles, with Dejaun Blair having 14 points, 10 rebounds, as well as 2 steals and 3 blocks. Tim Duncan had 14 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocks to add. Andre Miller was quite close to a triple double, with 14 points, 9 rebounds (huh?) and 7 assists. Everyone performed solidly for the Spurs as well, and it was a solid game for both sides.
(Next Update, which I will be working on right after I post this, is a massive monthly update, and if there is anyway to get in trouble for a massive post, then I may be in trouble .__.)
BAD NEWS: Stephen Jackson strained his achilles, so he will be injured for 2-4 weeks
GOOD NEWS: Danilo Gallinari recovered from his injury
OTHER NEWS: Ime Udoka was waived after Gallinari recovered, Udoka just wasn't producing.Last edited by Clusterfudge; 11-06-2011, 03:49 AM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread
I'm 10 games into my new T-Wolves association and i'm sitting at 5-5. Beasley is on a tear so for putting up 25.6 points on 50% shooting 7.2 rebounds 1.2 steals and 1.5 blocks a game. But Derrick Williams is struggling averaging 11.3 points on 30% shooting. The Cavs have offered me Kyrie Irving and Anderson Varejao for Derrick Williams and Anthony Randolph. Should i take the deal or not?Comment

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread
I wouldn't do the trade ^ Derrick Williams is a man and Anthony Randolph has potential. You got Rubio who could be a PG for a NBA championship team, 10 PPG 10 APG and great defensive type a guy.
I played my first game of my association with the Bulls ( Had to be my home team otherwise I would only last around 10 games ) Its a 14 game season and I opened up at the Magic. Defense dominated and I won 91-86. My standouts were Derrick Rose ( Player of the game ) 26 points 10 assist, Joakim Noah 6 points 18 rebounds 2 blocks 4 assist. ( Only allowed 10 points to Howard and also got him to shoot a bad percentage ) Loul Deng 20 points 9 rebounds 5 assist 7-15 from the field. Boozer 20 points 8-16 from the field 11 rebounds. Taj Gibson and Ronnie Brewer led the second team Gibson had 10 points 4-8 from the field with 4 rebounds. Brewer went 5-5 from the field with 10 points.Comment
