Re: Please DON'T turn down gameplay intensity this year

I didn't realize the OP was a mod, I'd figure a mod wouldn't be so petty as to assert that people with complaints have an agenda. What agenda could anyone possibly have with this game? 2K is the only NBA game in town, we don't have a choice in competition. We've seen what happens with complacency with how terrible the Madden games have become. I'd like 2K to be kept honest as that will result in a better product for everyone. The fact that there are mods belittling legitimate, detailed complaints about the many glaring issues in this game as "whining" is frankly, disturbing.

I don't begrudge anyone who enjoys the game, but all the people who have told those with complaints to "get over it" or "learn how to play real ball" are morons, straight up. Multiple people have reported on issues at seemingly ever corner with the game. Online stability problems, removed features, 2K Share not functioning, bad trade logic, unrealistic player tendencies, teammate AI issues, over-exaggerated 3PT shooting across the board, puzzling interface changes, etc. Implying that anyone who wants to see these issues resolved also wants the intensity reduced is reductionist BS. There's also nothing close to resembling "real bball" in the games I've played so far; unless you watch some weird alternate version of the NBA where Greg Oden takes guys off the dribble beyond the three point line, Big Baby is able to swish three pointers and Stephen Curry is left open because his defender helps on Ekpe Udoh.

And no, I won't use sliders as I've never had to use them before. Sliders are a band-aid, not a solution to an underlying problem. 2K12 should've been a pretty reasonable approximation of the realistic NBA game straight out of the box, the sliders are there to fine tune things to personal preference.

I want to love 2K12 but 2K is not letting me.

I dont agree with everything but some of this is spot on...especially the last line pretty much sums it up for me

Come on dude.. you have a defense thread, a controls sticky, 3 strategy videos from Czar among other things.. lets please stop the drama, then on top of that didnt you say you dont bother touching sliders? Well blow me down... Maybe this game aint for you then

Point is, this thread wasnt started on the basis of supressing issues, moreso than what the title says, dont turn down the gameplay intensity like they did in 2k11...

If thats too hard to comprehend, I dont know what else to say

Without all the extra drama you're throwing in here, im not belittling issues people have as much as I see alot of new users as I do every year coming here just to complain only because they know devs see things here

Problem is, Its been stated before how things can be presented in a manner where they definitely can attend to..instead of seeing a bugs glitches sticky up top... we have to lock about 3-5 bugs glitches threads a day because somebody just has to be heard, or so they think, so they post threads in all caps and with !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, thinking thats what the game company will respond to... I can tell you now its way off base, and again my OP is not even about what you're talking about.

I don't begrudge anyone who enjoys the game, but all the people who have told those with complaints to "get over it" or "learn how to play real ball" are morons, straight up.
Welll I dont know who that is, but be careful not to start calling people morons or it could get you banned.

...and again, what im talking about is not even what you're referring to... you just mad because you think im against your little gripes.. as much as I could care less if you ever play one online game, i dont go in the online thread telling people to shut up. You've got it twisted.

Im sorry you're having these problems. I haven't seen big baby doing anything of the sort, but again, thats for another thread because this is about not gimping the game like 2k11 was to appease some

Please read the next time before responding

I personally dont care what you do with your copy. Use sliders or not it really doesnt matter to me. I dont even care if you love the game or not, thats definitely not my problem.

Here's where I would insert a giant picture of 'popeye the sailor man'... I'm fearful that will get the same as last year. It's a shame. My only grip is with the tendecies of some of the big men. But other wise I'm having a blast.

The defense thread has absolutely nothing that i already didnt know and does not work, the controls are part of the MAIN problems being they are very unresponsive and i have NOT seen a Defensive strategy video from Czar yet (if so please direct me to it as i requested it in his other thread).

My point is i am trying to find answers and NONE of those which you mentioned have gave me any...

I like others here take offense to you telling me what is for me and what isnt . asking questions and trying to find solutions shouldnt be confused with complaining. And even if it is as a customer of pretty much every 2k game ever made i think i have a right too.

and ps i never use sliders in any 2k game and shouldnt have to and wont...Hopefully they patch this game quick then both you and i can both keep quiet

Czar has a site and it has 3 so far from what I can remember, on top of OS posting them, look around I am not going to do it for you..and for the record I said strategy videos I dont know if either of them is defense or not

I dont know what issues you're having and im not here to be your personal guide either.. the point is there is a way to present problems to 2ksports, not go in every single thread on the forum saying the same thing over and over which some have done. I mentioned being a mod because we see it all, we see things yall definitely dont see, and we see the cycle happen every year, tons of banned posters, tons of trolls, etc..

Maybe you took it personal as if I was talking about you because in particular I was not talking about YOU or YOUR ISSUES, and truthfully I can tell you what and what is not allowed here according to the TOS of this site, so you are partially wrong on that one. This is OS this is not 2ksports HQ... You bought a videogame, but that doesnt give you any kind of rights to come here and do and say whatever you please when you want how you want

Big Baby just hit a 3 on me....SMH.

Anyway, I wont hop into this...but if you are going to be in the OS community you might as well get over the "I refuse to use sliders" mindset now. Most of us got over that along time ago. Some things you cant control, but the things you can....do what you have to do for the desired experience.

                            Man this game is HARD.

My brother and I are getting blown out of the water on hall of fame by the Warriors. We're using the Lakers.

Defense is so hard. I know it's me and not the game though so I'm not gonna sit here and bash the game.

Do you guys recommend using sliders? I put them on simulation but there's still some room for improvement. It seems if the CPU gets a LITTLE bit of airspace before launching a J, it's money.

I recommend you not playing on HOF against the CPU this is not like past 2k games the CPU is unpredictable and will take advantage of every mistake you make.
