they should be added for free. we've already done our part by pre-ordering and buying early. what a disappointment.

You don't have to pre-order to get the teams, it's on the inside of your case, it's the registration key, you just enter it as a cheat code

I voted yes, however I picked the game up tonight from gamestop and it had the code inside.

It was a pre order code. If you didnt get it, take it up with the place you pre ordered. At a GameStop they would probably understand a problem like this. I never pre order at Wal Mart. I always get the old woman that doesnt understand why I would want to pay 60 dollars for this DVD.

I agree. Eventhough I got the code for the teams, I think it's bull**** to not let everybody use these teams when we pay the ridiculous prices we do for games & what pissed me off was I had to go to the store 6 times & to 2 different locations just to get the damn code eventhough I pre ordered & so many people who pre ordered or bought the game on release didn't even get the code. So I think 2K owes it to their consumers.

Also after all that effort of getting the code, when you unlock teams they keep disappearing & you have to unlock them again which is a real pain & time consuming. Also I've been reading through this thread & see that people are saying you need to save settings & user profile but it still happens.

I thought they auto-saved. If not, can I put the code in again to get them or is it useless now?

I actually think the auto-save feature is messing it up. I had to put my code for the retro Jordans and the '91 Warriors and '02 Kings in over and over again, same with my gameplay settings. Every time I would put the game back in it would go back to everything default. I turned off auto-save and everything was working fine.

Once again, this is not a pre order bonus. It says in the big cardboard ad on GS that it is while supplies last.

Does not say you are guaranteed a code if you pre order

I pre-ordered my game about 3 weeks before it came out, got my code and the teams have never left my game.
