So the game itself is garbage because the person you played against, online, was an idiot? Every online game in the history of video games is plaqued by morons. Does this mean every online game ever made is horrible in your opinion?

This was a good player playing defense the only way you can online. It looks completely ********. Just like the plethora of other things that happen. 75% of drives getting stolen or blocked by players swooping in at mach speed from off the screen etc.

I'm an offline gamer myself when it comes to sports games. I can handle the idiots when it comes to FPS, racing games, etc because there's only so much they can do in the end. When it comes to sports games though it's a different story. You're not going to have a "realistic" experience playing online. All of you complaining about the "cheese" online need to either learn to deal with it or just stop playing online. 2K could patch everything to hell and back but people are never going to change. The idiots online do not make a good game bad.

That being said, yes, there are some small issues with the game offline. I think most of them are in My Player mode but I understand it's probably not easy to make an RPG experience in a basketball game easy especially when the game has to feel authentic.

you're an offline gamer so by your own admittance you don't know wtf you're talking about. 2k11 had little to no cheese. This game is a 3 point shooting' ball stealing, NBA arcade fest.

People are pissed off with the defensive rotational flaws of this game. It is a game killer for me, good thing I have not bought the game though. It is an issue and it exists.

Try getting good oponents then judge. Would COD be a good game if everyone was just jumping in place, spinning and shooting in the air?

in COD if everyone is spinning, that just means more kills for you and an easy win. so yeah..

oh btw, comparing 2k's online to COD's is a ****ing JOKE.

2k is the worst sports game to play online. COD is arguably the best of all-time when it comes to online play... so just stop it.

this game is super disappointing to put it lightly.. and that's not even counting the fact we get no rookies due to the lockout and the fact Pau Gasol and other PF's think they are Allen Iverson.

Uh, no. Just no. You must not play many games online, while COD online is better than 2ks online. It's still pretty bad, the net code is garbage, horrible lag, hit detection. No dedicated servers(leading to these stupid host migration problems). It's FAR from the best all time online, please tell me you were being sarcastic.

I've played mario kart on wii online and experienced less online problems than COD, i almost couldn't even tell i was online, i had no problems.

Let's talk about how 2k12 feel scripted. You can be up by 10 and then all of a sudden they comeback. You can't hit a shot to save your life and their defense lock u down but when they get within 4 the game plays normal again. SMH

The game has some issues that need to be patched.

The fact that negativity pervades most of the threads on the forum is only natural. If you're not having any problems (or you aren't bothered by them), you aren't likely to post about it.

Yeah, you should. That is why they were put into the game so you can have the game play the way you want it to.
