Bottom line - your opinion isn't fact despite what you may think. 8 million people could support your opinion/theory and that still doesn't make it fact. Majority views don't make things correct. History has proved that time and time again. By subscribing to that theory, you're really showing your age and/or maturity level.

I don't mean any disrespect by that at all, either.

When you're young and less mature, you assume the majority is correct.

As you mature and develop opinions, you realize the majority holds a number of incorrect, commonly shared beliefs. Some of these beliefs are actually important.

As you further mature, you realize you might be one of these incorrect people. You realize that a select few people know anything about anything at all-- and at the same time, apparent experts often don't know as much as they let on.

But in this case, expert analysis can accurately highlight 2k's flaws (and achievements). Basketball is a well studied sport and ignorance is not bliss. There are glaring systemic issues that make the game less balanced and more frustrating in many situations than the final version of last year's game-- while it also makes a number of advances that are a joy to play with. We just want to see these issues dealt with to bring the game back in line with what it could be.

Passing(we need much more control over the kind of passes we use) defenders leaving assignments open for no reason, no matter what the settings are, unnecessary animations(i often time see my big man double clutch and get the ball block whereas if they would of just went up strong it would of been an easy 2 points or maybe a foul) and i don't know if trade logic counts as a gameplay problem but that too. Those are just some, i could list more but this isn't the thread for a full list/details.

I honestly don't think anyone really HATE'S the game but that some things just really annoy and frustrate people.

ehh...partially because this is about the third game running that promised the world but only delivered a big muddy rock. The game is excellent, but the promised features don't work...again. Its incomplete...2k website hasn't launched, functionality of association mode hasn't fully been explained and is really rigidly opposed to any type of commissioner functionality whatsoever.

I'm not gonna lie, i'm a fanboy as the kids like to say. Following this game since 2k on the Cast...always get the game on its drop date, but I just can't do it again next year. I'd be a fool. 2k doesn't even have the common courtesy to drop a press release stating 'all features on the game will not be available at launch date due to aggressive testing' (or something similar) 'we plan on rolling out the 2k website on 11/15, we also have development patches scheduled to release on 10/31, 11/15, 12/16, and bi-monthly as needed after that'. Please enjoy the product.

Problem solved...they'd never hear another word from me and I'll be at every midnight launch from now til I get carpal tunnel in both hands.
