    OK, explain something to me:

Explain how I, the Toronto Raptors, go on a small run to go up in the 3rd quarter against the Cleveland Cavaliers, and then after a Cavs timeout they proceed to go up 30 in 3 minutes. No, it wasn't because I wasn't playing good defense or I didn't set defensive assignments. It was because the CPU AI decided Ramon Sessions was a legit threat to score when driving, and they left guys open at the 3 point line. Oh, and when they missed, usually some guy was there to grab the rebound.

Explain how I managed to outshoot the Nets percentage wise with the Nuggets - both overall and 3PT - but I still lost by 10 because the Nets had 19 offensive rebounds (most of them in the 3rd quarter) and 19 second chance points (most in the 3rd quarter). Also, Sasha Vujacic repeatedly shot in my face, through double teams, etc. again in the 3rd quarter, and guys like Travis Outlaw, Kris Humphries, and Damion James transformed into allstars. BTW, they got to the line more than me and hit 5 more freethrows than me. Guess what? They started getting to the line at WILL in the 3RD, and I could get a foul called for nothing in the 3RD and 4TH. At one point, Kenyon Martin went up and got clotheslined, and somehow Damion JAmes was halfway downcourt to add icing to their scripted comeback/run (I was up 9-11 for a period of time). What's sad is at one point Ty Lawson was 9-10 from the field, but I had to repeatedly shoot semi-cheese threes to stay alive.

Please, explain how this is a lack of skill on my part. Explain how Ty Lawson and JR Smith can't get past guys like Vujacic, even Brook Lopez!

Lol...heres a tip...its what i do to limit the cpu's off rebs....control the center or the pf and always step up to cut off drive lanes....but dont go too far out of position and leave a passing lane to your assignment and BOX OUT YOUR MAN on the shots...that will greatly limit their off rebs...and as far as not being able to beat those scrubs off the dribble....that sounds like an issue on your end honestly cuz i have no issue beating slower dudes off the dribble if the matchup is in my favor...just make quick moves and explode out...one cross or even just a hesi...the hesi works very well in this game....but i really dont have the freethrow issue...i always get more freethrows than the cpu...i average 24 fts a game...but i always control my bigs on d....or the man whos assignment is setting a pick....very rarely do i control the on ball defender except when the shot clock is low cuz that seems to be when the cpu will dumb down ur on ball defender and allow a good look at the rim

Also....you gotta realize that a lot of these 3pt shooters have weak mid range shots....force em off the 3pt line and they become pretty ineffective.....But you gotta realize that when the cpu is helping on this drive they usually "over help"....but when your the one helping then the cpu doesnt have too which cuts down on a lot of that nonsense...hope it works out for ya cuz this game is truly awesome and i hope everyone enjoys it just as much as i do....and i play on superstar/sim

Re: The level of Cheese by the CPU is rediculus

I think that i kind of figured it out, the 3rd Qtr the computer starts its crap it is imapriative that you be the FIRST to score on the first possesion of the third qtr.

If you can get at least a 10 point lead at halftime and you score on the first possesion you should be ok.

something else i noticed was that the CPU starts to speed up when the 3rd qtr starts, and your guys feel like they are stuck in mud. This might be the reason that alot of the 3's are being made because your guys can't get to the 3pt line and contest. your guy gets caught on the screen sometimes preventing you from getting to the 3pt line which defintley shouldnt happen.

I might be grasping at straws here but i have won the last 3 games after losing 1 game after giving up a bucket right after halftime. so i hope this helps some of you

i hate how the CPU has the ability to stop fastbreaks with a little effort. On a 2-1 situation, i can't throw a pass until the defense is right in front of me. If i pass too soon, he will deflect or intercept your pass for sure. Or i have to throw a near full court pass to get a head start for a successful fastbreak.

Ok . I understand everyone's problem with the game. Let me tell my b.s. story. I was at a neck and neck game (heat [me] vs Spurs) in the online association .3rd quarter I started to make EVERYTHING nd then 4th quarter they made a lot. Then last 3 minutes my team hit everything. All seemed to go well then the 50 second mark and BOOM. The game freezes, as I get disconnected from the Internet for about 15 seconds then it comes back but the game forces a quit when I'm up 15. So I get pissed switch to black ops. Later go on 2k...

I face the trailblazers. A ok team with a good pf (Aldridge ). Before I continue I have you know Chris Bosh is a curse in my 2k game. So Aldridge makes legit EVERYTHING . Because bosh is covering him, so i switch the match up to big Z. Works out well. All the way up to the 3rd I feel like I'm winning. Even though the score is pretty much tied. Then Aldridge makes everything no matter who is covering him. By the 4th Roy is hitting 3's nd they are up 78 -76 . Then wade misses a clutch shot. I'm already mad as it is. I foul a ok free throw shooter who swishes both easily. Then which makes matter worse wade misses a wide open 3. So now I foul a bad free throw shooter who also makes them both, 10 seconds left, eddie house fouls some guy with .3 seconds left, which makes me say what the f***!!(p.s. I rarely swear) And quit out of anger then turn the game off.

I'd feel badly for you if you weren't using the Heat.

These 3 things make a huge amount of difference. The game feels more responsive now, too.
Where is this setting? I've heard other people mention it and I can't seem to find it. Thanks.

You know, I'm tired of reading these all the time. Yes, I know I have a choice whether to read it or not, but ALL of these topics start out the same!

Somebody complains because they had a "crazy, ten point lead" and all of a sudden, they can't hit anything and the computer all of a sudden can. Guys, that sounds A LOT like real life to me. I mean look at Lebron! The first few games he did great, and then he choked away his ring. It happens in real life guys. You have to play smart, no matter what you're playing. Be aggressive when it's time to be aggressive, and conservative when it's time to be conservative.
James Naismith visited an Indiana basketball state finals game along with 15,000 screaming fans and later wrote, that while it was invented in Massachusetts, "basketball really had its origin in Indiana, which remains the center of the sport."

I am playing the Classic Teams mode, I have opened up 5 of the 15. But this flawed AI, is driving me freaking nuts. I have been putting up with it, but the more you see of it, the harder it is to take, and I am just getting angrier and angrier at this crap. I honestly had a wide open FASTBREAK dunk attempt by "The Dream" that clanked!!! Wide open!!! I am going to turn off all Clutch Factor and set to 0 in the sliders and pray that it works or I am going to get rid of the game, even though I love it. It is seriously going to give me a heart condition or cause me to break things.

Practice helps but that does still not rectify the cpu cheating. I don't know how many times I have a defender beat as soon as I hit the button the cpu does a unrealistic animation that deflect the pass before I throw the ball...

Passing with the analog stick helps but I am still trying to figure out how Chris Paul and Jason Kidd throws terrible passes from 1-10 ft yet Darko Milicic can throw a perfect 50 ft pass.... Not to mention all the poor passers threading the needle...

It's only in association mode. At the controller select screen before you're next game, press the block button to get to the game options. This option needs to be added to all the gameplay options screens by 2k.
