Re: Jeremy Lin
How would calling him a scoring first point guard make me biased against him. And what's in bold makes my point exactly, thats what every scouting report said. He's never had a game of more assists than points, or hes even never had a game with half as many assists as points. Those true point guards have games like that nearly every night. Even if we don't look at turnovers (which we should) there is a ton of reasons why this is the case.
Im not arguing saying Jeremy Lin is not a point guard, I'm saying he is more of the scoring build that we are seeing in the NBA nowadays.
The fact that you are even arguing this point seems ridiculous to me. To call me biased against Jeremy Lin and be sitting there with a NYG logo cracks me up.
So glad somebody wants this discussion to be about NBA 2K considering thats what forum we are all in.
Here is a post from my thread... This was before last night though
But to the topic I think a 75 rating would be perfect for him.ARE YOU LOOKING FOR YOUTUBE CHANNELS DEDICATED TO THE SIM COMMUNITY CLICK THE LINKS BELOW, AND SUBSCRIBE FOR ALL SIM CONTENT.

Re: Jeremy Lin
His rating is perfect at the moment, I'm glad the insider didn't overrate him (yet) like he did with Rubio's shooting.
Let him play some more and after that maybe he can get another boost.Comment

Re: Jeremy Lin
I don't even consider this an argument lol, it's not serious enough to be an argument and you totally missed what I stated earlier, he had to score because he was the only one that could get he's own shot. I just game the steve nash example of 48 points, Lin has a different situation he has to score for the knicks to win those games. A point guard doesn't have to always have high assist and differ all the time, every game is different there has been plenty of times when a pg took over the game scoring wise. If a guy can get his own shot at anytime, I would like for him to be aggressive no matter the position that's common sense. I said you sound bias towards Lin, not that he's a scoring pg but you just sound bias towards him. Football and Basketball are too different sports so I have the freedom to choice which team I like, yes I hate the knicks and yes I love my giants at the end of the day those are my preferences.
But to the topic I think a 75 rating would be perfect for him.
I wouldn't call it an argument either. You said Jeremy Lin's play style resembles Steve Nash. Steve Nash never in his life has been looked as a primary scorer, even on his bad team now.
I just commented saying I think thats a way off comparison. It's all good though, to each their ownUpdates on Twitter: 2KstauffComment

Re: Jeremy Lin
im a die hard basketball fan, proud knicks fan for 15 years,i have no problem with lins raiting, except for maybe his 3pt and his speed that should be little higher, other then that it is fine, reason why he is scoring alot because he has not played with melo and amare together, once melo returns lin wont be scoring near 30 pts every night, nor taking 20 shots a game but i do believe he will be averaging near a double double, something like 15ps, 8 astLast edited by truballer845; 02-15-2012, 07:23 PM.Comment

Just went back an re-read all your posts that I responded to and you never once said this. Probably why I missed it.

Re: Jeremy Lin
Paul and Lin are the only pure point guards. Guards that set the offense up, get their teammates great looks, and can control the game tempo. Westbrook and Rose are point guards by position but look for their shots than set up an offense or are capable of getting their teammates great looks. Rose before he was injured lowered his shot attempts and his assist went up. Rose is on his way but I consider Paul and Lin pure points. Lin gets points but they are never forced or bad shots,he knows how to set his teammates up as well and his assist numbers will go up when melo gets back, he really does resemble a steve nash.
But this is just MY OPINION and this question really depends on your preference. I like pure points obviously because they have the hardest job on they have to control the temp, make sure the right players are in their spots, makes sure the ball is moving, tell guys now, set guys that couldn't get their own shot up, and last but not least have to make sure the team is communicating on defense. But a lot of that stuff goes un-notice.Just went back an re-read all your posts that I responded to and you never once said this. Probably why I missed it.

I'm just going to put a end to this discussion because all of this is point less and you are putting words into my mouth. So I'll just say your right I'm wrong end of discussion. Defiantly not on topic about 2k anyway I apologize mods and op so please return to the topic.
Ive been saying the last three posts that this discussion wasn't about 2K and shouldn't be here and you kept responding and now try to tell me to return to the topic.

Didn't put any words into your mouth, the bold was the only reason I commented in the first place.

Re: Jeremy Lin
I am currently on a 4-game winning streak with the Knicks online with Lin starting at the point. People laugh when I put him in the lineup before the game saying "what the f***, are you serious?" and stuff like that.. But when the game started, they were. Getting mad because they had no answer for Lin. I've had 3 double doubles on this streak. People have quit and given up because I guess it was too much Linsanity and couldn't take the heat.Comment

Last chance for everyone:
This thread is to discuss Jeremy Lin in NBA 2K ONLY. Not his NBA impact.
Also, any more personal attacks on ANYONE, and Your Friendly Neighborhood Forum Admin will have to dust it off:

Re: Jeremy Lin
Lin's passing is pretty on point in this game and you can really see why the Knicks needs a true PG. Players just stand around when he's on the bench....
Also watching that celebrity row interview with Mike Tyson and there's nothing like live tv where he slips in a cuss word. LOLComment
