look im from new and id like Lin to turn into something special but c'mon people have some perspective, its been less than 5 games of good play, an even when he dropped 25 an 8 he also had 8 turnovers in the same game.. so in short (no pun intended) give him at least the rest of the season to see if he even stays in the starting line-up

I bumped up his offensive awareness to 93, his passing to 87 and his layups to 88 and I've been slicing up defenses like nobody's business. He's only a 71, too. Can't wait for him to keep up this level of play so I can get him up to the 95 he deserves.

Wow, that's a pretty high bump. I gave him a boost in a few catergories and is now a 62 (still scored 15 pts, 14 assists first game as a starter). 93 seems too high for Offensive Awareness, tho I dig the passing and layups in the high 80's.

If Lin keeps this up, I'd make this trade in a heartbeat if I'm NY.

The kid's court vision is RIDICULOUS. He's got 26 assists in his first three starts. I say a 93 OA is fine.

And I know it's a big bump, but honestly, I think this is more of a case of 2k12 (and the entire NBA) totally underrating someone and me bringing him to where he should be.

                    It's been 3 games.

I am rooting for him and like him a lot, but let's not be ridiculous. A 90+ offensive awareness.

Im not hating or anything Jeremy Lin has been crazy these past three games. But think of it HE CAN SHOOT. The Knicks are missing two of their main scoring options and right now Lin is the Knicks first option. So referring to the he can shoot .. Just like if you put a guy in your starting line-up in 2k12 who can shoot he is going to go on a scoring clinic but be turnover prone.

So now I'm again not hating on Lin because he is a beast (So Far) but it's only been 3 games lets wait and see how it's gonna be without him being the first option when STAT and sadly Melo both get back. Right now I give Lin a 74-77

So you don't want to aren't hating and don't want to raise him too much after 3 games but you think he should be about 20 overall points higher.

This statement comes off a bit of a contradiction to me. As good as these past three games have been, you put him in the same category as Kyrie Irving with that rating. Even Rubio. I just don't understand how this could possibly make sense after 3 games.

I completely agree. Some people, mostly Knicks fans, have got this kid being the next Magic Johnson. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

That said, I do think Lin is the real deal and not just some flash in the pan some haters are trying to make him out to be. I'm not saying he'll be a perennial All-Star, but I do think he's a legit, serviceable NBA point guard. You'll never see him in a D league uniform again.

Jeremy Lin should definitely be in the lower 70s (70-73) and if you look at those two box scores, it took JL3 28 shots for 25 points, thats not impressive.

9/17 is 53 FG% in his first game.
11/20 is 55FG% in second game.
And in third game he had 44FG%.

                              That is great for guard.

Lin reminds me of Goran Dragic when he was in Phoenix in the 2009-10 season, Amare's last with the team and lost to LAL in the WCF. I remember Dragic scored 26 in 17 minutes to help sweep the Spurs in the playoffs. I'm getting off-topic (love Dragic) but back to Lin, I'd say Lin is playing like Dragic is when he's having a good night. He'll get you 15, 4, and 5 on those good nights.

I would base his ratings off of Dragic and then bump up a few ratings for his play over the past few games. Don't get me wrong, he has been crazy in those games and we'll see what happens the rest of the season but I'm rootin' for him.
