They pick the Heat to mask the fact that they aren't that good.

I usually back out against Heat users. Same goes for the Thunder.

I notice now since the patch has toned down the outrageous 3-point percentages online, I notice cheesers have stopped picking the Thunder and are picking the Lakers more.

I guess once chucking up 3s with Durant, Russy, and Harden stopped working they needed a backup team to ensure an easy win.

This is very true lol. But the good thing now is that I'm personally at the point where i actually like playing these kind of people now because I know that i can defend them pretty well now to make it a good game, or that they will shoot themselves out the game by the 2nd Quarter.

actually this isn't true, I played against a Celtic cheeser. I won but I was expecting a strategic game but he just tried to run and shoot threes. I want to see cheeser vs cheeser game it would be the most hilarious thing very, two people thinking their good. But what I do for a laugh is pick the heat too, so its heat vs heat and they usually quit or switch to the lakers then I switch to the lakers and so on. They end up sending me a "what are you a ******" message.

I beat a Miami Heat cheesehead the other night. All he tried to do on offense was dribble back and forth along the perimeter with lebron looking for an opening so he could just drive to the rim every single time. Keyword in that sentence was "TRIED". He got to the rim at times when I lost focus but overall I put that isshh to bed. He played like a 1-3-1 zone the entire game with some weird unrealistic double team/trap scheme. To beat that I just slowly walked the ball over half court and ran a very simple methodical offense where I was getting a lot of good open shots in the corners. Didn't run plays I just played smart basketball.

Also he would even sometimes leave a player down on his side of the court when I had the ball thinking that I would rush a shot and miss so he could just rebound it and throw the long bomb pass down the court for an easy bucket. Nonetheless, I picked that strategy apart as well and he ended up quitting in the 3rd qtr. Actually I think he made his network disconnect. Why do people make their networks disconnect rather than just simply using the quit option in the pause menu? I just don't get it. Doesn't it count as a lost for them either way?

It was VERY satisfying to beat this cheesehead Heat user. And to think, I almost backed out at the start when I noticed he was picking the Heat. Glad I didn't!

The one thing I hate is that there's less tools now to fight the cheesers IMO. Steal abusers don't get penalized enough because of the relative lack of reach-in fouls online, and in fact are rewarded bc of the amt of canimation steals they can pull off.

3-pt shooting is still the go to move, 33% of 30 is still 10 3pts made, so 3pt chuckers will just keep chucking. That and shots off dribble are easy to hit, so guys will just run around and chuck shots off dribble which go in of course. Playing this game in a quick match is even worse than last year due to these things.

The problem is no game is cheese free of course, but game devs should at least reward those that try to play the right way instead of allowing this mess to stand. If your main d is bashing steal and jumping anytime I even think of shooting and your only offense is the 3 ball then I should be able to blow you out. But people whined and complained about not enough 3s last year so 2K upped the 3pt sliders and now we have this arcade crap online and no sliders to change it. Thanks a lot 2K.

Whoever said to pick the Heat also hahaha I used that today a few times. Most people quit, but one guy played me! And I beat his *** lol.

I forgot how easy it is to play with one of the super teams. I'm always BLAZERS online, always. I've only ever not picked them maybe twice.

I dont even know why coz I'm not a blazers fan lol. I think in 2k10 someone killed me online with blazers and brandon roy and I thought damn, this guy is sick, this is a good team! So now I always use them!

What I usually do is pick the Thunder, put Westbrook on D-Wade, and then proceed to cut off all the lanes to the basket so they're forced to shoot a contested jumper. I completely give up the 3 ball. What I've found out is that most Heat users don't know any of the players's release points so they end up missing anyway. Should they penetrate into the paint with too much frequency I then switch to a 2-3, suck them into the paint, and body them up before they can take off (which usually results in one of those body up shot animations.)

Since they don't play on ball D (Or are terrible at it) I usually attack the rim and get a couple of free throws to get Westbrook and Durant going. Once that happens and a couple of shots start to fall? The score is usually 20-7 at the end of the 1st quarter and they quit.

I don't bother using my Kings in a quick match, as it's too much of a hassle coupled with the fact that Westbrook is a better shooter than Evans (though Thornton, once he gets hot, is incredibly annoying to guard (as noted by fellow OS'ers. Sometimes it just doesn't matter if there's a hand in his face AND you knock him down. He'll still make it ).

I'm no cheeser... At least I don't think so... But I don't use the heat either...

I use the Mavs, simply because I am from Dallas... Or OKC, simply because I live in Seattle, and they used to be the Sonics... and KD is one of my favorite players next to Dirk of course... But one team that is mad under rated is the Hawks, whom I also use... Jamal Crawford FROM THE TOWN!!! Representing for Seattle... Those are my top 3 teams, and I don't superstar abuse... Although its Durant taking most of the shots in OKC, I still use the whole team... Harden is a BEAST all over the court too... And in Dallas, you will see my boy Caron bust butts all over the place... I usually use Dirk in 1st and 4th qtrs, with sporadic play in between those two quarters... But I tell you what, at least everyone on the squad has a point or two lol...

If I play a ranked game and they choose the Heat, I just pick the Heat too and say lets go... and they usually back out right then and there.

The only problem (at least for me) is that I know none of the Heat's players release points. I can't stand playing as them. I've never even so much as stepped into Practice Mode with them. I loathed them that much
