I will be happy if they make major improvements in Association
-Allow us to veto stupid CPU trades
Instead of having to control all 30 teams to prevent dumb trades, we should just have the power to veto any trade the cpu makes. That way if the Spurs try to trade Tim Duncan for Pau Gasol, I can veto it to keep the association realistic.
-Not all players with high potential ratings actually reach their potential
In real life, there are players all the time that have the chance to be really good but don't live up to their potential. This could be from poor coaching, poor fit on the team, or maybe a nagging injury. This brings up my next one.
-Injuries don't just go away completely that fast
On 2k12 Chris Paul can tear his ACL, miss 8 months and then come back as good as he was. Players that suffer that kind of injury take a year or two to get back to form if they ever do. Even with smaller injuries, like if he sprained his ankle, when he first comes back he should be slower and worse on defense. Also awareness should not lower just because a player is injured. The game lowers players awareness so much when they get hurt so their overall will be lower. Twisting an ankle shouldn't mean a player has low awareness.
-Older players should mainly regress from physical attributes
It is stupid to make older players regress every single attribute as the years go by. Take Ray Allen for example. He will be a great shooter until he retires. He isn't the player he used to be because he isn't as quick or as good at defending but he will always be able to shoot. Same thing with KG. He isn't as athletic as before but he is always going to be able to rebound and hit that mid range jump shot. When players regress, attributes like shooting and awareness shouldn't go down. It should mostly be physical attributes like speed, stamina, durability, defense. This way guys that rely more on athleticism won't be able to play at a high rate for as long as a guy that relies mostly on spot up shooting.
-CPU teams don't just stack up at one position
I hate looking through team's rosters when I'm a few years into an association and I see a team with a 68 ovr starting point guard, 4 75+ power fowards and 2 70+ centers. They should know to move one or two big guys for a solid starting point guard. Or better yet, know not to sign a starting caliber power foward when you already have 2 on your roster, and instead sign a pg. Also teams should sometimes draft based on need instead of always just taking the best player availible. If the Cavs are on the clock and the best player availible is a 75 ovr pg with good potential, they shouldn't take him because they already have Kyrie. They should either take a different player that fills their needs or trade the pick to a team that wants to move up to get a pg.
These are just a few little things that could make Association so much better
