can you guys add another shot type. A combination of the two(shot stick and real player%) would be great. One way i can see it is you have to make a perfect release before you get the real player % maybe some added percentage as bonus. If its only a "great" release, maybe deducting a few points from the real player % (maybe 5-10%) and if you really suck and did a poor release, you get 10-15% of the real player %( since sometimes fluke happens. It sucks if you don't have an input and you just rely on the cpu's percentage breakdown if your going to make it or miss it. at least a combination of the two would make the game more challenging and fun

I'd like to see more animation possibilities when a player is attacking the rim with a full run-up (clearly in an advantageous position). Also, I'd like to see explosive take-offs limited when an offensive player is right in the space of a defender. Examples:
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/fdjV84Xbcug" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
The first dunk above seems to be 1 of 3 possible two-hand dunk-on animations that occur when an offensive player runs directly at an opponent in the lane during a fast break. I stop short of calling it a glitch, but I realized early on in 2K12 an effective fast break strategy was to often not pass, attack the middle, and count on the initiation of one of those magic two-hand dunk-on animations where the defender has no choice but to be bumped and dunked on.
The second dunk refers to my aforementioned "explosive takeoff in closed space" point. It also doubles as another one of the possible magic dunk-on animations. As can be seen at the 7 second mark, Michael Jordan's leg is actually between the legs of the stationary defender. In a real game, it would be very unlikely for an offensive player to elevate and explode as effectively when essentially being chest-to-chest with a defender prior to gathering and taking off. At least some sort of breathing room is necessary in order to truly rise up and explode. Further, the defender here can be seen warping out of the way to allow the animation to complete. Therein lies the problem.Comment

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
If you're going to make stripping the ball from a shooting slasher as easy as just hitting the steal button (and not calling fouls on those plays at a high enough rate), give the slashers a way to protect the ball or keep it away from reaching defenders. Give us the ability to hold it tight like a running back, or do a windmill crossover (where the ballhandler swings the ball over his head before shooting), or SOMETHING. Don't just make us helpless to people who are just gonna mash the steal button once we get inside.
For those who haven't heard the term "Windmill Crossover" before:

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
Notice how CP3 was able to slither past Marreese Speights even though Speights was almost perfectly squared up? I guarantee in 2K12, Paul would have gotten bumped back as if he hit a wall.
In the same vein, look at this shot by Mo Williams:
Notice how Williams was moving towards his left and Ginobili stepped in to take the charge, and would have gotten it if Mo had kept going left. But he was able to stop on a dime and jump in the opposite direction to avoid the contact. In 2K12, this is pretty much impossible.
This is the NBA. These are the best, most physically gifted basketball players in the known universe. They have amazing body control, and we deserve that luxury in our games.Last edited by RyanFitzmagic; 06-18-2012, 09:14 PM.Comment

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
cant believe no one has said this but they should add a "catch and shoot" ability to distinguish players like ray allen from shooters like dirk. Dirk isnt a quick release guy but ray cant attempt a accurate shot 2 seconds after catching the ball off a screen.Comment

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
1. Bring back my crew mode and fix glitches and bugs that go along with it.
2. Expand my crew mode IMMENSELY. My crew mode will be connected more to my player mode then ever before.
-You can collect skill points for your my player offline or online, just like 2k11 except you can collect skill points online now in crew mode instead of that other mode (team-up or whatever it was inside my player menu)
- Have nba street clothing options for online games for your my player in my crew mode. Customize not only his sneakers, but add a cap, hoodie, undershirt, baggy shorts, etc.
- have missions where a my crew mode team can play cpu legends such as Dr.J, Michael Jordan, and Magic Johnson in 3v3 street ball, and add legendary courts such as Rucker Park.
-These mini missions will not affect your win-loss record, but completing all 20 (or whatever amount there is) will give you money
- the money cannot be used outside of my crew mode (money will not transfer to my player mode)
-Each crew will have a stadium, morale (affected by losing or winning streak), etc.
- the money can be used to expand the stadium, move to a better location. (Crew starts playing in a outdoor court with 100 seats, best stadium ends up being in an arena with 20k+ seats) or improve morale by going to dinners, charity events, etc.
3. Improved my player. I thought 2k12 greatly improved my player, but it still has so much potential:
- ability to hit each nba city and challenge the best street ballers in the off-season. This option is not mandatory and can be skipped, it will be an invite.
- ability to customize clothing such as ina shootaround, can wear practice clothes not game jerseys
- ability to own a house and upgrade it
(apartment<house
</house
- add option in shootaround to challenge teammates to 2v2 or 1v1 game, just like in association mode where current player can challenge rookies to this 2v2 or 1v1 games in pre-draft drills.
- have trophy showcase room in home with all accolades such as ROY, MVP, ETC
- have player wear championship ring in press conference, also cut down amount of press conferences especially when you are a rookie bench warmer and reporter asks you "great win tonight, you did a great job out there helping the team win....", yet your player only played 7 minutes and scored 2 points.
- more endorsements
- ability to call out certain players in press conferences (would be legit and hilarious)
4. online association:
1. ability to play gm-only mode where you control only the rosters and the games auto-sim
2. in this gm-only mode, there is a player bidding free agency period in which users bid for players in a 12 minute bid period every free agency day. at the end of the free agency day, it states whos in the lead, but not the amount bid. in the last free agency day, the highest bidders take the players OR if a player is very interested in a team, will sign with a team early.
3. ability to import a my player into gm-only mode DRAFT POOL, as the gm-only mode is started with a fantasy draft serpentine style with random draft order. a maximum of 1 my player per user could be imported, and that my player obviously could be drafted by another team.
4. ability to trade teams between users, both users most agree, and commisssioner must approve. User cannot switch with CPU team HOWEVER.
bored of dominating your league? switch with a low-ranked non-cpu user and start a rebuilding project while letting the other user rake in your team YOU BUILT to domination.Comment

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
Dirk can shoot off screens very well for a seven-footer, and Ray Allen can definitely shoot off the dribble. Although I still agree that there should be a Catch and Shoot rating or ability.Comment

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
I would like some more tendencies.
Crash Board tendency. Instead of just relying on Off/Def Reb ratings, I would like to see players who either have high/low tendency to decide whether they even try going for a reb. It would allow good/great rebounders to be more aggressive on boards and the shorter players to be less aggressive or dont even try for the rebound.
Take Open Shot tendency. I hate seeing players who high shooting ratings pass up open shots to drive to basket because of high drive tendency. You'll see players either taking the open shot even if there is another player in a better situation or pass it up to drive.
Help Defense. I am not sure if it is a tendency for players already. But, it can be a good tendency to have. Whether the teammates helps defends the opponent and leaves his guy wide open or just spreads.
Off-Ball D tendency. If it is low, then the defender will often leave his defender open for a screen or open shot. If it is high, then the defender will play tight and try to deny the ball.Comment

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
I will definitely like to see more of this. The best part was Conley was caught in the pick and roll which caused the missmatch with Speights. I know we all know the CPU very rarily gets caught in the pick and roll they sort of slide around and through the contact very well a little too unrealistic. CP3 is known for doing this same thing and keeping his dribble alive and then flipping it up for an oop to Blake or Jordan.Comment

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
They need to fix the layup logic. What I mean by that is when you get by someone and are right in front of the hoop you should do a layup that not only tries to shield the ball from the defense but one that is also contextually correct. No more hopstep layups off the bottom of the rim once you get by the defender, and no more of those slow semi-standing floater/layup animations.Comment
